      • fancypants

This better be the best, and last, Michael tribute

    • Preston

I think they’ve waited until now to show the best Michael Jackson tribute and it’s the Grammys, where he won 13 awards. All those music industry people have waited 7 months for this moment. Michael has been on all of our minds for months, from his music and so forth. Look forward to the Grammy’s special tribute to him.

What time is the Jackson tribute likely – early, late? It is the reason I’ll watch! And his kids may pick up his award, wow!

    • PNK

Plus I love Gaga – hope Poker Face wins sumpin’!

  • Chichi

I am so ready to watch this and get roll my eyes at Taylor Swift’s “I can’t believe – Did I ju– OH MY GAWD! No, I wasn’t expectin– Did they just call my na– was it me?!” face.

    • Celia

I’m confused why EW seems to be convinced Taylor Swift will win so many awards. She’s great and her albums have done really well on the charts, but she’s not the best.

      • Chichi

I guess they have to skew towards the kids these days to sell mags. I’m not even that old, mid 20s, and I think it’s wrong how this culture is so obsessed with youth.

Swift isn’t a kid, she’s 20! And acts like a flippin’ tween! It’s disgusting and a false image. That’s why so many girls are so “DUH” about everything around them.

        My rant is over.

      • Preston

I like Taylor Swift, but I don’t think she’ll win the most Grammy awards. She’s sold the most albums, but I’m not convinced if the Grammy people like her as much as the CMAs, American Music Awards and People Choice awarded her.

I think b/c she’s been sweeping at a lot of the awards this past year. Makes sense: she has a huge appeal to the regular crowd. As long as she doesn’t win anything non-country, I’m good

  • Classy!

I hear Britney might come. I hope this is true. Even if she’s not going to perform, I’m excited to see her. More excited than I am about seeing the performers except Gaga and Green Day. Rihanna and Christina Aguilera are rumored to be going too. I wish so many of those that will be sitting in the audience were actually performing, and that some of the people who are performing would sit their butts down. Another Taylor/Beyonce award show? Riveting television! I like them both, but yeah, that was sarcasm.

  • LOL

It’s a Gaga world. We just live in it.

    • tonim

      word

    • Tina

      Gaga is CACA!!!

      • marlee

she is …. why can’t she appear normal. and stand up and Sing if she is sooooo good?

  • Eliott

    Huzzah

  • Thomas

As much as EW wants to claim they’re the favorites (they’re not, because Taylor Swift is) I’m rooting for underdog DMB to shock the world for AotY.

  • M.C. LOGIC

good luck to The Foreign Exchange!

  • Celia

Why is Michael Jackson nominated? I just want to know out of curiosity. Is it because people started buying so many of his albums and his music after he passed away?

    • AcaseofGeo

He’s not nominated, its an obligatory tribute because he died within the eligible year.

  • kt

Why are user comments disabled?!?! I can’t post in the live blog!

  • JennaD

Can we not post in the LB?

    • kg

Can’t wait for Gaga to kill it.

  • Harold

How come no one is mentioning Maxwell. He had a great year – his CD is wonderful! He is up for six awards and I hope he wins at least one.

    • Preston

I do. He’s most likely to win some awards! Maxwell made a great album. I thought he was going to get Album of the Year nomination, but he came short.

  • Preston

I think it’s going to be a toss up between Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Black Eyed Peas, Dave Matthews Band, Kings of Leon, Maxwell and U2 winning the top awards. It could be anybody’s night! And I’d love to see Charlie Wilson win a Grammy for his album or song in the R&B category!
