It wasn’t always tiks and blahs for one Ms. Ke$ha Sebert. Once upon a time, she was singing Radiohead’s “Karma Police” in a middle school talent show.
Say what you will about the vocals, that kid on the piano is killing it.
More Ke$ha:
Ke$ha did not vandalize the Hollywood Sign, officials confirm. Come on.
Ke$ha: ‘Have I made out with chicks? Hell yeah.’
Ke$ha dethrones Susan Boyle on the albums chart

That is so bizarre! She looks and sounds completely different to me. It’s kind of like those videos of Lady Gaga before she was famous.
Except Gaga has always sounded freaking good… even when she was just Stefani.
yea gaga is Soooo awe-soooome… she is so unpredictable too… she always wears a crazy outfit and dances right before she plays the piano…. everytime…. e v e r y t i m e…. e v e r y t i m e. . .
LOL. dave speaks the truth.
She sounds just as bad here as she does now. I mean some of her songs are catchy but she is just not what’s up.
I feel bad…but I totally agree!
Back then she was only known as Ke¢ha.
LOL thanks for making my day
HILARIOUS!!!
Witty, witty, witty. lol
That is just pure awesome! ^_^
Very Alanis-esque voice, versus right now with the childish sighs and sing-song verses…
Girl can make a catchy pop song, but I refuse to get on her bandwagon.
I second that revulsion; who knows where that bandwagon has been?
HILARIOUS!!!
I wonder what Thom would think of this?
not that bad for a 13 year old girl and the kid on the piano is killing it
She even loved glitter back then! Check the belt.
now i feel like a douche for listening to radiohead
My OKC disc just spontaneously combusted.
This just ruined my day
Excuse me? Are you saying that 13-year olds that listen to Radiohead are “gawky?” As both, I’m immensely offended.
I’m sorry, Bailey, but did you even watch the video? She’s got bad hair and braces, and the boys are pretty geeky looking to boot. You might want to get over it, cause quite frankly, yes, a 13 year old who seriously listens to Radiohead IS a gawky little weirdo, and yes, kesha looks very awkward in this, tho most of us do at 13.
Everybody has a right to listen to what they want to. I’m sorry I angered you, but it does offend me that you would judge somebody simply based on what they happen to listen to. Are you saying that listening to Radiohead (and I’m a real fan, not one of those that thinks “Creep” sums up their music)makes me a “gawky little weirdo?” Who are you to so freely call somebody that?
Maybe this was the beginning of what would become her edgy image. It’s good to hear that Radiohead was an early musical influence on her before she shifted to the dance pop of her current first album. And yes, she was into the glitter back then, but on her belt and not her face as of now.
I want to know what ‘I’ll get” if I mess with you nerds.
Great article. I can¡¯t wait to hear more about your research tool. If it is as good as your other products, then you will have another winner. Your article pretty much summed up what I have been seeing too. Great to see some hard data.
