Olympic Playlist of the Day from curler Chris Plys

As the 2010 Winter Olympics winds down in Vancouver, EW.com wanted to find out what music is inspiring US athletes. So we asked a variety of Olympic competitors what song (or playlist of songs) they’ll be grooving to before they compete.

Chris Plys, Curling (the sport is on USA, CNBC and MSNBC today). You may remember Twittering Chris as our first Olympic Stud of the Day!

“Drumsticks” by Doomtree
“Champion” by Brother Ali
Dixon’s Girl by Dessa
“Hand Over Fist” by Mike Mictlan + Lazerbeak
“Guarantees” by Atmosphere
“Sleepyhead” by Passion Pit

Of the final track, Plys says it’s “just one of those songs that gets me goin’. All of Passion Pits’ stuff is just a little different and being a musician myself I am always lookin’ for something unique that can get my mind going.”

this guy has an awesome taste in music. I’m assuming he’s from Minnesota since that playlist heavily reps Rhymesayers and Doomtree
