lil weezy did drop out but recieved his high school diploma and he attended the university of houston where he majored in psychology pleas know your facts before you comment!!! if you allow your kids to have any entertainer or athletes as role models i think you have a problem! maybe you would rather have your child raised by society than by yourself?? and why single out wayne do you actually think he is the only rapper with explicit lyrics?? Jay-z is just as bad as well as the other 98%

    • Ras Cheetah

Well said Greg. I totally agree. He’s not even CLOSE to the worst as far as lyrics goes.
Still, everything’s for a reason. Perhaps it’s time for him to rest and get in touch with his real self. Prison is like an awakening for some people, and you KNOW he’s hearing new tunes in his head while he’s in there, because he’s a natural when it comes to creating his lyrics. There’s all kinds of types of poetry, and what he shares in his music is his choice, and it’s people’s choice whether to listen to it or not. ;)

what does it matter if he is a bad infulence? all songs do have an edited version. One day your kids are going to grow up anyways they hear stuff at school and if you dont like his music you dont have to listen to it.

i dont want to tell anyone how to raise their children, not sure how we even got to this topic but im not so worried about his lyrics so much as his behavior. My biggest fear is that my son will grow up to idolize him and other rappers.. and it will influence him negatively. i love his music though, just dont want my son to listen to him till hes mature enough to know right from wrong!

iMa miss u weezy. U brung hip hop back alive. U the best just keep your head up because I know some idiot gonna try to get u to make a name

It won’t affect his career. He’s doing his time right now to get it out of the way and resume back to performing when he leaves jail. I like that he did some videos and songs before he did his sentence. I’m sure he’s writing songs and lyrics at this moment while in jail. Rebirth was more of an experimental album with the rap/rock patchwork and I think he will sell better with his next album of new songs.

  • mason

weezy is the sh!t. he’ll come out and be so big. just skip #4 and 5. Tha Carter 6 baby! :D

  • Jay-Da-Kid

when hes in jail, dey gonna make him rap, n as soon as he stops rappin in jail, they gonna rape him.

  • Tara

He will be fine. He recorded so much music before he went in and it will be strategically released even if he serves the whole year there is still enough of his music to keep him relevant. His fans will follow him and his popularity won’t change. As mentioned he will probably be more popular. Brian you need a hug, you’re an angry boy.

      you need self-esteem

syrup messes up your head, hence the horrible songs. going to prison means no syrup, hence better songs when he comes out.

  • Diane

I am sick of seeing music stars (especially rap stars) acting like gangsters! If they are good rap artists they don’t need to set bad examples for the younger set. They should use their fame to help youth see a more positive image so they don’t try to imitate bad behaviour. Please our children need good examples!

    • randal

although i agree with you… but rappers who try to set good examples are not famous or well known for a reason, music these days has changed.. i just hope my son doesnt grow up idolizing people like lil wayne or lady gaga.. eminem etc.

  • Haleyyyy

Love lil wayne since his underground mixes he is amazing and hasss a huge heart and great mind…he will be fine i meannn T.I made it rigghtt??haha
