didnt ricky get pissed at barbara walters for asking him if he was gay or not a few years ago?

I’d say many of the comments here show why so many people choose to remain closeted.

    • Miguel

Exactly. Let’s just stop the hate and accept people for who they are. People aren’t defined by their sexual orientation.

Anytime a good looking person like that is never seen with the opposite sex and uses a surrogate to have children, it makes you go hmmm…

I am so inspired by Ricky’s courage that I’ve chosen this opportunity to come out as a heterosexual. So many years I’ve tried to live a lie as a gay man but after tickling my duodenum with one too many roosters I decided enough!

    • Matt

Sorry, nobody is going to believe any woman would have sex with you.

i remember watching his “behind the music” on VH1 about 10 years ago, and back then, he was going to marry a women (can’t remember her name) around the same time of his famous grammy performance put latin pop on the map.
he never married her, so i’m guessing that she’s glad she didn’t make that mistake now.

You’re assuming that she didn’t know that he was gay.

      • Ann

and you’re assuming that she did know?
you know what happens when people assume things?

      • D’s Advocate

No, I don’t believe that I did assume anything, Ann. I was merely suggesting another possibility.

And what usually happens when people assume things is that someone hauls out that hoary old chestnut.

I think his sexuality is irrelevant … unless you are dating him or marrying him …. and then you better be a guy. But there should be no reason for people to hide who they are, so good for him.

  • Eh

This is like discovering that some Catholic priests are gay. And, incidentally, who cares? Good for him. That’s great. Some day we’ll live in a “tolerant” enough society (whatever that means) for these little announcements to be oh so passe. Whoever you are, love yourself, b/c some of the herd ain’t capable of it.

    • harry

      YES, Thank YOU!!!

    • Pete

I’m not sure I understand your comparison. Are you talking about ALL gay Catholic priests, or the subset of those that happen to be pedophiles? Why can’t we ever have a discussion about homosexuality without pedophilia being mentioned? They’re not the same thing, you know. Not even close.

  • barock

    Never heard of him

  • Big Dave

Please put me down as “not exactly gob-smacked.”

  • Frank

Can’t remember the last time I heard someone refer to Ellen or NPH as “gay talk show host” or “gay actor”. Other than this article, that is.

  • Andy

    Good for him.

  • darma

    Is Hugh Jackman next?

    • Jolie

I always thought so about Jackman!

      • Stephanie T.

Hughs probably bi. You can be married and have an open relationship with other men/females same sex as long as the married partner is aware and they are protected. Look at Monique and her hubby. He’s not bi? Yeah sure.

  • Al O

If it walks like duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck…it’s probably gay

  • Um….

    Duh.
