Was so bummed that they cut the mike and the lights off for Miranda Lambert’s Album of the Year. That is enough of an award that 30 seconds can be given to who she would like to speak. The producer was thanking God & his wife, then click. Hope others agree. Very Kanye-like.
Those awards show are like that, the Oscars too! They like to cut people off when they want to thank more people that were involved on the album. I know they want to keep the show moving and rolling, but let the winners do all of their thank yous in their acceptance speeches. They let the Kanye West incident of last fall go to their heads a little too much with that interruption mentality.

I think the Taylor Swift “Consolation Prizes Tour” is over. I’m no Carrie fan, but she deserves any award more than Taylor Swift. I heard Taylor sing again, and no, she can’t sing. Really, really flat voice. I’m glad the delusion is wearing away.
I don’t think the Kanye thing really did have to do with her winning all the awrds. She won them because she’s a talented musician and she had so much success on the charts.

As the guy stated above(had to borrow the fat cow line,so true)when your record is achieving the same accolades as Pink Floyd’s Bad side of the Moon, MJ’s Thriller, concerts getting sold out in minutes… When everyone is clearly saying how much they like her singing by rewarding her with this type of success, only a fat cow would say something into this type of storm of success.

Where you getting your stats? In your dreams. Plus Carrie has been out WAY longer. To truly compare go by album sales and tickets sold and it will not even be close. The country music industry is so small that every year they have the same nominees. Each of them know that if not this year they’ll get some the next one. Booooooring! BTW: What makes Lady Antebellum country?
Carrie Underwood won for a second year in a row for Entertainer of the Year! She made a solid album with Play On! I thought that Taylor Swift would win it,but she’s swept many other awards and the Fearless album has already run its course after 18 months. But that Miranda Lambert won for album of the year and female vocalist is great; that they loved her album more than the others. And I like that Luke Bryan and Joey and Rory won–saw them on a concert show on the 101 network and they put on solid shows!
Isn’t funny that the awards ceremony that Taylor should dominate is where she doesn’t? I mean, she basically sweeps the frakkin’ Grammys, but on her home turf, she can’t do anything?! Maybe the CMA’s are more logical than I thought, and the Grammys are losing their sense of good music since they accept a country reject.

CMT pretty much had the scoop on the winners a week after the Grammy awards. ACMA’s decision to give Album of the year to anyone other than Taylor flies in the face of common sense. There have been rumors for whatever reason ACMA’s were going to screw her. I guess rumors were right this time. I have to agree with above, the “stats”, ticket sales, album sales ect… do not lie. Taste is taste and hate is hate.
Jen,the CMA’s are in November. These are the ACMs. 2 different sets of judges. Swift won big at the CMAs this past fall. The ACMs’ Entertainer of the Year is decided by fans texting and voting on the same night. You’re probably not a big country award show fan, but that’s OK. I’m more of a rock and R&B fan myself.
The ACMs (Academy of Country Music Awards) are where she struggles. She swept the CMAs (Country Music Association Awards) in November.

Miranda has been overlooked for MANY years now. She deserved every award she won tonight and I couldn’t be more happy or more proud of her. That girl has talent, as if you couldn’t tell from her performance. Way to go Miranda!
