The Killers' Brandon Flowers announces solo album: 'Flamingo'

Jon, the “inexplicably cancelled” Asian tour you refer to was cancelled because Brandon’s mother died. They subsequently cancelled the first two of four shows in Australia but arrived to play their final shows – for now – in the Gold Coast and Melbourne. I was at the Gold Coast show and can tell you now they weren’t playing like a band about to give up. They were amazing and – to his credit – Brandon was on fire.

I’m totally excited for this cd. I think Brandon Flowers is a good artist and will make a good cd. I would prefer it to be a Killers’ release, but hey, solo recordings only make bands stronger. And I think stretching creativity can only be good for them.
