Image Credit: Jordan Strauss/WireImage.comBret Michaels has released a track to iTunes called “Wasted Time.” The song is a ballad, one firmly in vintage Poison territory. But the most remarkable thing about the track is how ominous and portent-laden the lyrics seem, given Michaels’ recent health problems. “Lately I just ain’t been myself,” he sings at the start of the song. “Lately, I’ve been feeling something else.” At another point he croons, “There’s a time to hurt, a time to heal.”
Anyway, check it out, and tell us what you think.

With cliche lyrics like “There’s a time to hurt, a time to heal” I’ll pass thanks.
Yeah, it’s as if he had a book entitled “Songwriting Cliches” and grabbed a bunch of them.
You’re right. It’s a great idea to pass on an entire song based on one line pulled out of context to illustrate the author’s point.
It’s from the Bible (Ecclesiastes 3). It predates cliche.
Hope that 19 years is long enough for people to forget that Skid Row wrote a ballad-ish song called Wasted Time already. OH WAIT SHI
Skid Row’s Wasted Time is a GREAT song. What an underrated band.
yes, Skid Row was first.
Oh wait,
the Eagles had a song titled ‘Wated Time’, much better song, long before those Jersey Boys!
