All good album cycles come to an end, though, and Swift is already dropping hints about her next project. MTV News caught up with her at the Time 100 gala (hat tip: Vulture), where she told them that work on her third album “is going great actually.” Swift continued, “I’ve been writing it for the last two years, so this summer it’s all about the finishing touches and getting in there in the studio and recording the last couple songs.” What sort of themes, the MTV reporter asked, might Swift’s new album take on? “What do you think? Boys and love.” Of course.
On a scale of one to 10, how psyched are you to hear Swift’s next album? Aside from more songs about boys and love, what do you hope it will contain?

No all kidding aside, thats what most songs are about. Love in some form. I dont love her albums, but she delivers some good singles.
So basically it will be like her previous 2 albums…
Most songs are about boys and love, or girls and love…. so… no big whoop.
Seriously though, I hope she delivers the catchy tunes again, I’m not a huge fan but I do appreciate a good Pop single with a catchy hook and she has given us a few gems.

How can that even be in the same category as country? Yeah so its her playing a guitar, that doesnt automatically make it country, its pretty much all POP for crying out loud
While I do realize that most pop songs are about love, it would be nice if there was something new in the mix. It sounds like the next album will be the same old, same old.

not really a big deal. love is one of the most common song topics of all time and if tylor started singing about girls i think it would be a little akward lol
quite frankly she is mature. some of her previous album related to high school but thats because she wrote the songs in high school. it can still be about boys and be mature. if shes writing about ove then boys kinda comes along with that

I will bet her producers are cranking up their auto-tune programs right now. Lucky for TS and others, singing in key is no longer a prerequisite for having a singing career.
I do give her credit for writing her own songs. I just wish she gave those catchy songs to someone who could sing them live.

If you read her quote, she’s obviously saying it slyly, as in, “I’m Taylor Swift – of COURSE I’m writing about boys and love.”
