in case you didn’t know it,Tim and Faith called all the people that showed up and they asked for volunteers,it did not matter who was really there, but they asked for a variety of music, just who ever was available. and who ever would do it free of charge. nobody got paid.
Jagdish KFirstly our Government should seek accruate figures from States where reporting is inadequate and expand HIV testing so that statistics are more reliable. Then we will learn the real burden of disease. We can no longer live in denial that we Rank No 1 in the world as regards PLHA.Secondly, there is a urgent need for identifying implementing targetted interventions amongst high risk groups. Condom use should be encouraged and unsafe sex should be strongly discouraged. Interventions among IV drug users have to be scaled up.Thirdly, all other awareness programs, IEC activities, blood safety universal safety precautions to prevent HIV transmission in health care settings have to be regularly implemented in letter spirit. Finally, though NGOs are very much required in our fight against AIDS, their close monitoring is of importance as the interventions among high risk groups are largely allotted to them and there are more NGOs that live off AIDS than for AIDS.
