He has no chance, just heard him sing live on “Dance”, he’s horrible, he’s a creeper, he has no talent, his song sucks! What was with his hair?!

  • John Swint

absolute worst thing i’ve seen in years. he can’t even sing remotely on key during a live performance. can’t dance either. what’s left? a creepy pedophile in his mid-twenties with a mullet singing a song with hardly any hook, and looking like a gopher-faced buster.

Culd you get any less creative ?

Christian TV sings about young gurrls coming of age dissing daddy . . .

OMG – can u say “massively huge suking sounds” ?

  • Harbingeroftruth

This song has less artistic value than a grainy cell phone video of two mentally challenged individuals fighting over a plastic hammer, my god..is this what passes for music today? And how creepy is this song…does this idiot drive a big white van full of cotton candy to his tour dates? The follow up to this song should be called ” she’s a 30 yr old ex-stripper trying to convince the judge to give her 2 of her 6 kids back “.

Seriously what’s all the fuss, maybe I’m getting old (32) but I think this guy is a train wreck! His performance on So You Think You Can Dance was obnoxious, a terrible song and he really cannot sing.

  • NP

Horrible song. In every possible way. I pray this is just media trying to push him and not actually what people like. If it is the latter, I’m very scared for where pop culture is headed.

I guess Love Arcade didn’t draw enuff girls so lets try a song that appeals to every young girl with daddy issues.

    LOL ! ! !

    Flock of Seagulls part deux.

Christian has worked hard his entire life, this is not just politics. Say what you want about the hair or clothes, but don’t say he can’t sing. His voice is unique and he is an amazing lyricist and musician. I don’t generally listen to pop or anything like this, but I find myself playing it on my Ipod like crazy. If he can make me love a pop song, he can make anybody a fan of his music.

Sep17Isaac Just gotta say that I LOVE your posts on Christian music, especially your one on Liturgical Music. But I haretily disagree that How He Loves is good music. If you look at your own parameters for Liturgical music especially, it would never make the cut. Now, I know that the parameters aren’t the same for Good Music and Liturgical Music , but shouldn’t a song be Beautiful? That’s the problem with How He Loves: it isn’t objectively beautiful. Even if the words are Good and True, the song writing fits the pop music Form to a tee. Singing He loves us, oh how he loves us, oh how he loves us oh how he loves in an increasing crescendo over and over and over again is exactly like any other pop Christian Rock song. The lyrics are sloppy and the metaphors are mixed to the point of incomprehensibility, and it’s the same sickly sweet, broad handed message that pop radio stations play. I know that personally, How He Loves tops my list as far as bad, unreasonably popular Christian music goes.Sorry, that was a little more ranty than I wanted it to be. I welcome any defense you have of the song, if one can be made, as I always make the best of any situation, and when it’s sung at a Steubenville Conference I don’t just sit and pout. I’ll sing it, and get into it, but from an objective standpoint, I don’t think it’s a good song.I LOVE all the stuff you write, and I find that you say all the things I want to say. And your breakdown of Liturgical Music was AWESOME! As a guitarist at a Life Teen Mass, I can feel that a song isn’t appropriate, but sometimes couldn’t say precisely why: Thanks to your breakdowns, I can see much clearer. My youth minister reads your stuff as well. I will encourage him to take it to heart, and spend a little more time before he approves of a song.God Bless, brother, keep up the good work!
