As much as they ever went away (the band recently celebrated their 34th anniversary), Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers return June 15 with Mojo, their first album since 2002′s The Last DJ.
You might have seen the band perform new song “Jefferson Jericho Blues” on last weekend’s Alec Baldwin-hosted SNL season finale, but you can only stream the (Baldwin-free) studio version here:

Can’t wait to see them live on June 22nd in St. Paul, MN. It’d cool to see a cover story on them. Mojo will probably be album of the year.
Excellent song. I’ve seen him in concert three times. I love Tom Petty’s distinctive voice.
Terrible. It’s an irritating riff and it’s very redundant. It sounds like a mosquito stuck in one’s ear. I don’t anticipate a time where I will ever listen to this song again. Petty is capable of much better.
Agreed. I love Petty, so it hurts to say it, but gotta be honest. I like his more laid back songs, his dreamer songs, and his sad ones. Never was a big fan of blues-ey or southern rock type songs… personal preference. still in my top 3 artists of all time.
Great, straight forward American rock ‘n’ roll. The kind nobody makes anymore.
Excellent! From the guitar riff to the lyrics..ROCK!!
I have heard Something Goods Coming and this and I can’t tell if the Beatles are still my all time favorite Band. I think they are tied after 45 years of listening to all type of music
Can’t wait! Love Petty, good to know that he still has it
Tom – Supreme
Mike – It’s what he don’t play.
Scott – Smack on the money
Steve – The BOSS Beat Meister!
Ron – Low down
Benmont – Sweet keys…..
PERFECTION. Everything Tom and the Heartbreakers do is gold (and Toms solo work of course). Love the song, love the other songs from Mojo I have heard and I can’t wait to get the new album and see them in concert this summer.
GREAT Tune !!! Best thing TP’s done in years, Can’t wait til June 15.
I love everything about TP&H especially the guts behind MOJO so far.
However here’s a little FYI.
Highway Companion was released in 2006 for the 30th anniversary tour and had 2 singles, notably “Saving Grace”.
Whoever wrote the footnote claiming that their last release was The Last DJ should really do their homework.
The last Heartbreakers album was Last DJ…Highway Companion was a Petty solo effort, despite many of the band members appearing on it.
I’ve heard three tracks from this album so far, and they’re all terrific. And, a bit different for Petty. More southern rock in style and feel. As someone else posted here, nobody makes music like this anymore. What a pity.
Tom Petty, always moving forward never backwards. you clowns still wishing for the “same old TP sound” cant understand that! BTW THIS IS REALLY HOT!
Magnificent points altogether, you just received a brand new reader. What might you recommend in regards to your put up that you made a few days in the past? Any certain?
You know therefore considerably relating to this topic, produced me in my view imagine it from a lot of various angles. Its like men and women are not interested except it is something to do with Lady gaga! Your own stuffs excellent. Always care for it up!
