Whoa! 50 Cent (real name: Curtis Jackson) made a hell of a sacrifice for his upcoming movie. Usually the MC looks like an NFL linebacker. Read the full post.

What I want to know is if he is such a big deal why is he in a double wide???
I assumed that was his trailer while he was on the set of the film.
@ginger. All actors have them, he doing good to have a double wide. You can’t have big houses on the set you fool.
Where did all his tatoos go? Not so sure this is real or not…
Exactly! His tattoos are suddenly missing. This isn’t the same person.
I’m black, and the child can’t act. Very few music artists can. Just like very few actors can produce quality music. It’s not about race as much as it is about skills not transferring across domains. I respect his dedication and may watch the movie now, but I doubt it’ll make up for his lack of acting skills.
You don’t need to loose weight to succesfully play a part. There are make up and special effects that can help with that. But if you can’t act maybe it will make you look dedicated and “talented”…
oooh woow he looks a bit scary thin. but if he’s doing “things fall apart,” that’s an appropriate look to have. it’s SUCH a good book and i really really hope that they make this movie (and that they don’t ruin the story). i would be happy to se 50 in a serious movie like this. i wish this project all the best and if 50′s is (clearly) willing to get serious, then there’s all the possibility for this to be great.
this film is not based on the Chinua Achebe novel.

..u r seriously happy with what you see in the mirror everyday huh? Too bad you just don’t know

It’s not really him he has tattoos on his right are the guy in the pic doesn’t
didn’t someone say he had them removed. and just because you don’t see them dosen’t mean they aren’t there. that’s what make-up is about.
My guess is that if you can’t even do a good job of acting as yourself in your own autobiography, you won’t do a good job acting as someone else. But, he is going over and beyond for this role so I wish him much success.
Like everyone already said, Dave is an idiot. Seriously, the rest of us Black people are working hard and happily living our lives while you and the few other retards out there keep looking for someone to blame for their shortcomings. Grow up!
Its not him. All tattoos are gone with no scarring? The articles about him having them removed last year state that he kept the big ones on his back… But there are other photos of this person that show his back and there are no tattoos showing.
Why can’t we be happy for the brother and this is not racist. Our own people are the ones putting him down. There are more negative comments about 50 cent than positive and these are coming from our black brothers and sisters.
He looks like Dave Chappelle (sp?) AHhHahAhAHAHAH prob wont be a great movie… i’ll get a bootleg
@ ajay – while i do agree that there has been a signifigant “whiting” of roles in hollywood lately, its 2010 and are you really still playing the race card. 50 is an average actor. there are so many average actors there who are also caucasian and dont deserve to be in the roles they are cast. overall i would have to say as a black male thats its perspectives like yours that perpetuate ignorance. bottomaline everyone deals with some sort of judgement (gender, race, religion). Get over it and start worrying about helping yourself.
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE MOVIES AND WISH 50 THE BEST
Get that money 50….
I think it’s great that 50 cent took on such a role, hopefully the movie will be a hit. Question is why are people so negative about him taking on this role and loosing the weight. Come on American keep it real
