'The Office' comic Craig Robinson's 4 favorite dirty South jams

Craig-RobinsonImage Credit: Kevin Mazur/WireImage.comComedian Craig Robinson knows a thing or two about the Southern hip-hop scene. So much so that VH1 asked NBC’s The Office actor to host VH1 Hip Hop Honors: The Dirty South tonight (June 7). Craig called in to tell us what Southern rap cuts got him ready for his big gig and why he loves them. Find out how Ludacris and Andre 3000 made the list after the jump.

Ludacris’ “Move B***H”

“It hypes me up, man. [Raps] ‘Uh oh! Fight’s out!’ A lot of Southern stuff will give you that.”

Geto Boys’ “Mind Playing Tricks on Me”

“I liked that song from the jump. It’s got that creepy feel to it. It kind of scares me, even though it’s a cool joint.”

Juvenile’s “Back That Azz Up”

“That’s another one that will hype you up. What I like about it is that it’s straight to the point. Like, ‘This is what’s up. Don’t play with it. Girl, get over here.'”

Andre 3000’s “Prototype”

“That just shows the range of OutKast. It’s so different from the other dirty South records. It’s like, ‘Wait a minute. They’re from there, too?’ I didn’t know [Andre could sing].”

Do you like these songs, too? Did he miss one? Let us know.
