This morning BET announced that West will perform at the BET Awards on June 27. The last time West appeared on TV was the day after the VMAs to rap his verse on Jay-Z’s “Run This Town” alongside Rihanna and apologize for his gaffe on the premier episode of Jay Leno’s The Jay Leno Show. Since then he’s been pretty low key, working on his next album in Hawaii. Last week he released the as-yet-untitled LP’s first single “Power.” So far it has drawn critical acclaim and excitement.
West’s a dynamic performer, known for pulling out all the stops. But some are still iffy on whether or not he’s fit for the big stage yet. Are you ready to see him perform again? Think he’s going to do anything outlandish? Let us know.

In the news, they just said, KANYE WEST, the rapper of “Stronger” upstaged some country singer to praise Beyoncé. She should definitely thank him for the free publicity… and that Grammy.

I was never mad at him in the first place. I love him. He is one of the only rappers I can stand listening to. So what if he has a giant ego.
YAY finally someone who gets IT! When I first heard about the who VMA thing I was a little annoyed but after hearing Taylor at the grammys i know he was right. Sometimes a big ego comes with talent!

Um, no. Taylor CAN’T sing to save her life, at all. She hasn’t had just one bad performance, ALL her performances are terrible! Yes, Kanye was rude but he was also truthful!
True Blue, Taylor’s performance for the ACM’s and Brooks and Dunn Tribute were phenominal. She is working hard on her performances now. There is also a common thing called respect that I was taught when I was younger. You may not like someone else’s music but you can respect them for who they are and for being a fellow human being.

I actually think that all of the accolades, attention, awards, show of support, petting, etc. that Taylor Swift received was a direct result of Kanye’s stunt. I mean Taylor Swift is OK as a performer, but there wasn’t anything especially noticeable about her until she became the “cute-little-white-girl country performer” that Kanye insulted. Then the media started fawning all over her and falling all over themselves to prove just how great she ?is? And white America bought into the hype. I’ve never cared for Kanye as a performer. An album entitled ‘The College Dropout’ was just too much for me to stomach. But in this overblown and drawn-out instance, I think Taylor Swift owes Kanye West a debt of gratitude because he helped her career exponentially take off.
Taylor was the number 1 record selling artist in 2008 and 2009 before Kanye interrupted her. She was receiving a fan voted award when Kanye interrupted her. She was also selling out giant arenas for her summer concerts before Kanye in 2009. Taylor Swift brought on her own fame, not Kanye. Kanye just showed what a bigger jack ass he is. He couldn’t stand that a white girl beat Beyonce. Beyonce is a great singer, but the fans voted for Taylor.
I’m unsure of whether Kanye can really make a comeback in the music business, or at least be as popular as before. Even if he releases another well received single, it’s obvious that like with Chris Brown, radio is not supporting new music by either artist. It’s unfortunate but it’s the way the music business is. Very fickle and fairweather. There’s no denying that both artists are gifted but, for me, they’ve reached their peak.
You need to turn on your radio because Power is being played a lot.

Taylor Swift winning the Grammy for Album Of The Year basically redeemed Kanye in people’s eyes. So he simultaneously killed and resurrected his career by doing what he did at the VMAs.
No he has not been forgiven. Taylor should have won and good for her. She had the #1 selling album and she had sold out concerts around the world. She released the album in 2008 and it is still on the charts. 3 years is a long time to have an album on the top of the charts.
Speak for yourself only, Ray. If you had bother to read comments from here or any website mentioning Taylor at the Grammys, 90% of people who became anti-Kanye after the VMAs immediately forgave him after the Grammys once they saw that Taylor was nothing more than hype who was being handed sympathy votes. Also, it hasn’t been three years since her album came out because this is 2010, not 2011. It’s not on the top of the charts, either. It’s still on the charts, but not on top.
How can you compare Kanye to Chris?! Kanye interrupted an acceptance speech. Chris beat on his girlfriend. That’s not apples and oranges. That’s apples and domestic battery.
