Susan Boyle could soon be singing for Pope Benedict XVI, Reuters reports. According to reports, Boyle is in talks to perform at a Papal Mass when the Pope visits her native Scotland this fall. The singer’s team has yet to confirm the gig, telling Reuters that “Susan’s management are currently looking at the possibility of this happening.” Boyle, of course, has lots of experience singing in church, having performed in local choirs for years before Britain’s Got Talent rocketed her to fame last spring.

Glee, hands down.
She’s probably have a blast doing Glee, but for her personally I think singing for the Pope will be an honor and the thrill of a lifetime for her. Her faith plays a very important role in her life.
I hope this is true.

I don’t disagree, but I think on the “cool” scale, Glee wins over this Pope. But maybe the push should be to host SNL.
I like her singing well enough, but I hope that she doesn’t do Glee (unless its a very minor cameo) as I don’t want the show to be all about stunt casting because I’d rather the writers focusing on the cast on hand and writing better flowing storylines. The guests/tribute episodes haven’t seemed to really serve the show so far, just the other way around.
I agree with everything you’ve said. Plus, I’m just more excited about her singing for the Pope purely because it feels so “Sister Act”-y, and I loooove that movie!
I think it will be great she is singing before the biggest hypocrite on the planet.I hope she does not bring any young ones along.
