I also loved that Jay-Z wore shorts. For some reason it bugs me when musicians insist on wearing jeans and button-down flannel when it’s BANANAS HOT.
Its a shame you missed GWAR. It really was the highlight of the day for me. Anytime you can end up three feet from the stage covered in fake blood you know its a good show. Oh and Margret Cho made good on her promise…
Thanks for this article. I was there for both artists and you experienced the exact same concert I did. I have to admit that I wondered if it was as amazing as I thought it was (I was a little chemically challenged), and after reading this, I’m convinced that it was as amazing a concert as I remembered it.
