Image Credit: Steve Jennings/WireImage.com; Mark Dye/PR PhotosCMT has announced plans to broadcast a “musical celebration” on July 1 in support of those affected by the oil spill disaster. The show is called Jimmy Buffett & Friends Live from the Gulf Coast and will feature Buffett, Zac Brown, Kenny Chesney, Sonny Landreth, and other, to be announced, performers. The 90 minute show will be broadcast at 8pm ET/PT from the beach at Gulf Shores, Ala.
Obviously, the state of the Gulf Coast is a subject very close to Buffett’s heart. What do you think about him getting involved. Will you be tuning in?

Hell yeah I will!! proud parrothead!! I think its great he’s getting involved! Any support is good in my opinion, as long as the money goes to the right place, esp to saving the wildlife.
Born and raised on the Red Neck Rivera, I will definatly watch. Wonder if it will be at FloraBama club? My family in Pensacola has kept us well informed.
Oh YEAH! The only thing keeping it from being a “perfect storm” of Gulf & Western/Tropical Slacker music would be to Jack Johnson. THAT would be a concert to make Parrotheads weep with joy! Imagine all of them singing together “The Horizon Has Been Defeated”!
Hell Yeah. Jimmy has a strong love for the waters and its wildlife. and as parrotheads, we are proud to help out. KUDOs to all who are joining him for this concert… Zack Brown Band, Kenny and others… YA’ll are the BEST!!!
Jimmy Buffett-most definitely will be watching. He is the greatest.
