Fela!, the Tony-winning Broadway musical about Afrobeat icon Fela Kuti, just keeps getting bigger. The original cast recording is in stores now, and the Music Mix is pleased to premier the music video for that soundtrack’s “Water No Get Enemy” right here.
It’s a straight-forward clip, with the Broadway cast performing Kuti’s 1975 cut on stage. Understated special effects add colorful highlights to the black-and-white footage, including lyrics that scroll around the show’s stars in chalky pastels. Hit the jump to watch the video and stream the entire cast soundtrack, then let us know how you like it.
