i like it. didnt care for her last two , so very happy for something different.
I’d rather be crazy than stupid, Leah.
I don’t get what difference it makes if the song is a joke or not. Just because it isn’t meant to be taken seriously doesn’t mean it can’t suck balls. Which it does. So does the rest of the album. I’ll give her credit for taking the risk, but frankly it is career suicide. She simply isn’t anywhere near prolific enough of an artist to toss off something like Funstyle.
geez, ew, i thought you guys had edge? this is clearly a joke, a scathing statement on the music insdustry, idiotic teen rappers and i think its brilliant and funny..this is a return to her roots, like hello?? geez…tone dearness is not what I expect at EW
If you acutally listen to it a few times through, i totally get it and her fans will too … this is a great FU to the cookie cutter side of the music biz, cmon … what do you expect, a Britney like single?
this is the ‘valley girl’ of 2010, its totally scathing and do u really think she’s serious with that accent? she’s stickin it to people and its unique and delightful…
i like the rest too, very one of a kind with the rest of the crud out there right now…
has anyone checked out http://www.lizphair.com lately? this is getting even more peculiar….
As someone who considers Guyville her favourite album of all time, I must say I really do enjoy Funstyle. There are some satirical tracks on there – like Bollywood – and there’s also some more serious stuff on there. Miss September in particular is quite pretty.
It’s a very unique, different album, especially considering Liz’s past works, but I think that might not be such a bad thing.
