What would a video for a song called “Dynamite” be without a few explosions? Taio Cruz’s new clip doesn’t disappoint on that front, bringing plenty of incendiary special effects to accent his cheery dance-pop hit.
The video opens at an auto chop shop whose employees are all scantily clad ladies. Cruz entertains them as sparks literally fly from their welding equipment. Meanwhile, over at a club, we see someone being presented with a suitcase full of — you guessed it — dynamite. Ominous! Disaster is averted when the dynamite fuels a huge but harmless fireball behind Cruz as he performs at that same club. (At least, I think that’s what happens to the dynamite we saw a few moments earlier. The plot is a little hard to follow on this point.)

The video didn’t improve his weak vocals or disguise how boring this song is. Too bad.
Sure the song is boring , that explains why its number 2 on itunes
or why it is number 1 on iTunes Canada
u dont kno wat u talkin abut this song is the best.only the video is the mess i blame the video n the wrong way but i really love thiz song.
Speaking of plot, where does the random scene with the girls taking a bubble bath fit in? I have like both of Taio Cruz’s singles so far (this and “Break Your Heart”), but I wouldn’t recognize the guy on a magazine or album cover. Maybe he needs to lose the sunglasses so he doesn’t look so generic?
It might just be due to situations in my personal life, but I LOVE the lyrics to this song and tried to post the video to facebook immediately after hearing it the first time. It probably would be a better song if someone with a bit more… vocal punch(?) performed it, but a good mood booster nonetheless.
I enjoy dancing to the song, and the lyrics are uplifting, but I wish there was some substance to the video. All it did was remind me that its just another cookie-cutter mainstream R&B song.
