And in fact, the MoH-themed video for the band’s new single “The Catalyst,” from their upcoming Sept. 14 album A Thousand Suns, is directed by the band’s DJ, Joe Hahn.
It’s all shot in a very intense and explode-y Hurt Locker-on-steroids style; watch the digital-and-live-action clip—and hear the full song—here:

damn, I had high hopes for another great Linkin Park single to rock out to this summer but this one stinks. where’s the guitar? it’s all synthesized and very underwhelming.
I agree.
awsome!
I gotta agree with bubba and melanie on this one. I love Linkin Park as a band, and always will, but this is certainly on the lower end of their list of singles. The song doesn’t show off their true talent, nor does it exemplify their quality as a band. As bubba said, there isn’t even a guitar. It has a techno feel to it, and that’s not Linkin Park to me at all, nor is it what I desire to listen to. They are, no matter what anyone says, a rock band. The song, to me, sucks, and I couldn’t even hear a good portion of the words; hope this song isn’t a foreshadowing of the quality of the album. On a more positive note, it looks like the game is gonna be pretty decent. I haven’t already pre-ordered it like I have with Black Ops or Reach, but I might just buy it anyway from the look of the trailer. Looks to be a great game…
Call me really gay right now, but ANY song with the word FEROCIOUS in the chorus should be just that! FIERCE. This song…isn’t, and I’ve been a Linkin Park fan since before the debut came out. So sad for Chester & Co. This isn’t the what an altera-pop hit sounds like in 2010. Next single please, ASAP…..
Wow! I don’t think it even nudged the puny sub I have attached to my computer. I’m beginning to the their ‘catalyst’ is to lose all their fan base.Minutes to midnight had a few songs that glimmered but if this is any indication of the rest of the album, I may have to take a pass on it.
