Platinum-selling Tennessee rockers Kings of Leon have announced details of their fifth album, the follow-up to their hugely successful 2008 CD Only by the Night. The quartet’s new CD is called Come Around Sundown, and will be released on October 19. The album was recorded in New York and produced by Angelo Petraglia and Jacquire King, who also oversaw the band’s previous collection.
Since the release of Only by the Night the Followills have become genuine superstars—even if certain of our avian friends haven’t been showing them much respect of late. Are you excited for Come Around Sundown?

Maybe. There sound has really changed. Plus they play their “hits” into the ground!
I’m so excited!!
Only By The Night was good, though KOL’s previous album Because Of The Times was far superior. What I’ve been hearing is that Come Around Sundown heads back in that particular sonic direction. I’ll be buying it… I know my girlfriend will appreciate it!
Sounds exciting… FOR ME TO POOP ON!!!
I’m with the pigeons on this band…
You are a crazy bird brain!!!
I think they recently walked off the stage in st. louis claiming birds were pooping on the drummer. Maybe they were debuting thier new songs.
Its funny cuz now everyone hates them since their last cd became popular. I still love them from the first moment I heard Knocked up. Then I ended up buying all their previous cds. I just hope they go back to their countryish sound that made me love them in the first place.
They are kinda cute but can’t sing.. band is crap.
they are no justin bieber, right Phil? you are a tool
Have you actually ever listened to them? You have no idea what your talking about!
the Kings are amazing. i love the title of the new album and they played four new songs last night at the concert in CT. they sounded rootsier and more southern-fried… i dug it. i’m happy for all their success, but i really miss hearing their old stuff more!
They will never make an album as good as Aha Shake Heartbreak again.
I think the pigeon said it best….when it crapped on the band. Awful, derivative stuff.
do all you losers making pigeon jokes think you are clever?
I kind of miss their old “drunkard with a mouth full of marbles” sound from Youth & Young Manhood… good blues-rock music. Their evolution has been decent but I prefer that first album. I lost track of them until I saw them perform Sex on Fire on SNL… S.o.F was a GREAT song, but it really did get played to the point of annoyance and a lot of Only by the Night is forgettable pop music. I hope they bring back some of the 70s rock swagger from their early stuff and combine it with their newly acquired songwriting abilities.
My mom got tickets to that St. Louis concert for her birthday. She was SO excited to see one of her favorite bands! And then, similar to the pigeons, they crapped all over her birthday. I still like their music, but if they want to keep the fans they have, they need to butch up and realize that without the fans they’d still be playing in their mom’s garage!
I liked them better when they were rednecks.
Me too!
Yup.
I am beyond excited. I loved the “sample” we got during this years live performance and can only assume i will love it as much as i loved all of their previous albums.
