But Salling also premiered a new song, “Higher Power,” on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show this morning. Listen to it HERE. Salling, probably best known on Glee for his covers of “Sweet Caroline” and “Good Vibrations,” had previously released a YouTube music video tribute to his time on the Fox series. isn’t really his debut album. he had an album under the name Jericho called Smoke Signals before this. But i’m happy for him!
He and Kevin McHale are the boys with legit voices. I adore Cory Moneith but i def prefer them over him sometimes…

    • Saracen Riggins

Kevin McHale has my very favorite voice among the men on Glee. Such soul!! LOVE it.

      • jen

        I love other asian

    • jam

instead of pipe dreams you should check out and download sweet dreams by collin marrero on itunes

  • Chichi

Way too much clothes on for me to keep paying attention.

    • Whatever

Rather watch him, then listen to him.

  • mellissa

I can’t stop listening. This song is amazingggggg!!

  • ptrick

Hmmm some notes sounds like “I will survive” LOL. I like it overall.

    • Stephanie

Hahaha I totally agree! I think the song is okay. I don’t think I’ll buy his album.

    • Alice

I’m so glad someone also noticed too.

    • E.B. Berman

Didn’t notice until you said it, but yeah. Except that song is good. This is a wannabe deep bore.

      • Rori

Totally thought the same thing about it sounding like I will survive

It is amazing how much it sounds like it – did no one hear it???? It is literally the song

Also, this does NOTHING for his voice. At all.

    • Hubi

Not only some notes, almost the entire song sounds like a rip off of “I will survive” – so much for creative freedom

    • Ashley

      He tweeted about that:

Yes “higher power” is a loose tribute to “I will survive” duh, the rest of the album is not so calm down ;) Love yal

      • laura

“tribute” ummm that’s a new way to say rip-off

    • Bob Frapples

It also sounds A LOT like “Supreme” by Robbie Williams.

  • Icon

From all the kids, he was the one i didn’t expect to debut first.

  • couchgrouch

well, that droned on with almost no melody for quite awhile. a lot of those loops sound like they’re from other songs. totally forgettable.

    • Will

I agree, the song seemed to drag, doesn’t sound like a hit really.

    • ernie

I thought it was bad too

  • John

I’m surprised by the fact that he uses real words like “permeate.” I’m afraid the lyrics are bit too smart for Top 40 radio

  • Sebastian

This isn’t his debut album, though. He has an album called “Smoke Signals” that he recorded under the stage name “Jericho” in 2008.

    • Sebastian

Oops. Sam beat me too it. Thast’s what I get for taking so long to respond after reading. lol

  • Anne

With his voice that song is very disappointing and does not capture his talent.

  • jam

Instead of pipe dreams I think you should check out and download sweet dreams by collin marrero on itunes

    • Maureen

Okay okay we get it LOL! ;)

  • rees

wow, I actually think this is really good. Anyone else think it totally echos of the beatles? the vocals aren’t quite strong as they could be, but I’m kind of stoked for the rest of the album.

  • Mo

The verses of this song are so similar to “I Will Survive.”

  • katy

idk, I think he’s talented and amazing but this song just isn’t really doing it for me. I feel like he could be so much better. In the beginning for some reason i was kind of getting a System of a Down vibe with the way his voice sounded.

  • cjinsd

Wow, that was horrible. I didn’t even make it through the first verse. Yikes!!!!

    • L

      how dramatic.

      • cjinsd

No, it’s reality…my feelings on amateurish crap.

  • Tommy

Wow. I’ve never watched Glee, but his voice is so dull. The song just puts me to sleep.
