Image Credit: Janet Mayer/PR PhotosKaty Perry crashed a prom in Melbourne, Australia, last Friday and sang along to “California Gurls.” According to Radar, the prom was taking place at the Grand Hyatt, where Perry was staying, and the singer decided to attend the event after hearing her hit being played.
“As she grabbed the microphone, she was surrounded by highly excited students and began singing along,” said one student. “She was dancing and laughing with students until the end of the song. Everyone went nuts and it was the perfect ending to our evening.”
Perry later tweeted, “I totes just crashed a prom!!!”

im sure no one at that prom thought she was messing it up. even if you dont like her, if youre at a high school prom, it would still be exciting and memorable.

Why not, she brought some excitement and surprise to the students. Something they wouldn’t forget..not every day you have a hot pop star making an appearance at a schools prom. I dont think she was selfish at all “crashing” the prom. She could have been stuck up and hid from everyone.
