i’m sure i’m not their target audience-mother and in my forties-don’t listen to rap-love this cd and always just want to see eminem do good-love his voice
Not Afraid wasn’t really grabbing me, but Love the Way You Lie eclipsed that. When I heard the album, and heard his song with Rihanna, I said, That’s going to be a hit! A few weeks later–it races to No. 1. I’m on vacation in New Orleans in late July/early August and B-97 played that song like CRAZY! I think the song is relatable to both artists with the words because they both came from bad relationships and they let it all out in the song!
I think that because a lot of big name artists released their albums away from Eminem’s album, that led him to be No. 1 for 2 months with Recovery. Not a lot of big names put their albums in July or early August–they figure that most music buyers are on summer vacation. Eminem stopped slamming celebrities like on other past records like We Made You and focused on his rapping skills and music instead. The old formula worked for a decade, but it wouldn’t have helped today. I think it’s made him a better artist with the new strategy and doing a full length album with no skits or intros.

All of this songs mean something special to certain people every song has the potential to be a great single only thing is that Eminem produces every song with passion and love that his tracks are just amazing to hear. It does not matter the age or gender there will be a least one song that was meant just for you. In addition Eminem has been able to gain loyal fans that are willing to buy anything that he produces regardless of critics opinions. He had been able to only to defey the status quo but do it in a way that people are just blown away by his lyrical capacity. Eminem’s Secret is found in every verse, rhyme and the momentum he brings to every record.

and i do think eminem has matured a little, or a lot depending on how you judge his lyrical style these days– but maturing is a good thing. i loved his absurdity when i was a teenager and he just became famous, but now 10 years passed and people need to progress. if he were stuck now where he was then, it would not renew my interest in his music. im proud and impressed.
PERSONALLY I WISH HE WOULD NOT RELEASE THE SONG WITH LIL WAYNE I REALLY DON’T CARE FOR HIM. EM’S VERSES ARE ON POINT IN THE SONG WITH WAYNE BUT I WOULDN’T RELEASE IT! I THINK HE WILL BYPASS IT FOR THE NEXT SINGLE. NO QUESTION EM IS THE BEST LYRCIST AROUND, HAVE BEEN A FAN SINCE DAY ONE. I AM SO GLAD TO SEE REAL HIP HOP BEING PUT OUT AGAIN! DO YOUR THING EMINEM!!!!!!
Im always a big fan of marshall i love the fact he raising his sister and has cousdity of his daughter haley who beautiful hes come along way from his days on eight mile and i never want him to stop making music he is full of magic.Im proud of you eminem.
Damn I love all of eminems albums but the new style he brings to the table on this album is off the hook and deserves to be at the top for a long time to come. No love should be the next to hit air waves because lil wayne is about to explode. Awsome combo fo sho
i love what rob grizzly said. “critics will…wonder why?” This album either had to have no sales or all the sales. there was no middle place for it. And like critics are still wondering why.. it had all the sales.
