A “special performance” from Paramore has also been added to the performing roster. Artists including Travie McCoy, Jason Derulo, and Robyn will perform with the night’s “house band,” DJ/producer Deadmau5. Previously announced performances include Eminem, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, and Drake.
The VMAs air live from L.A.’s Nokia Theater on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 9 P.M.

Without Florence & The Machine, I would not bother with the VMAs. Seriously, she’s the only artist showing up there worth having eyes for.
Deadmau5 is a DJ, not a house band, and way to capitalize on his recent collapsing on stage MTV…Guess David Guetta wasn’t available…
Who cares about Usher and especially Kanye West performing. The VMAs are the worst of the music shows. Always vulgar, disgusting and disrespectful!

YES! that’s what i don’t get. why does he lipsynch or use autotune when he has a wonderful voice?!? (i mean..at least he USED to have a great voice..I dunno if that’s changed?)
Lol, why does every one assume he lip synchs all of the sudden? The only time he’s lip synched this year was on the first 2 songs of NBA All Star. He is a really bad lip syncher (REALLY BAD), & if u watched his live performances, you can tell. He was too pitchy and off for the GMA perf for it to have been lip synched. Thanks.

When Paramore opened for No Doubt last summer, they were the WORST live act I’d seen until I just had to sit through Owl City opening for Maroon 5….

The whole “Lady Gaga is not performing” thing better be a huge joke. She is the most nominated performer and a show without her would just be boring. I like Usher, but he would never think to rub fake blood over himself and hang from a chandelier!
Hoping you are right! She does have a five-day gap in her tour schedule, and she will be on the East coast, so it’s definitely possible.
