Carrie Underwood: Why do the CMAs keep snubbing her for Entertainer of the Year?

. Carrie is #1 solo artist this year. no one has shined more brightly then carrie. 3 out of 3 singles released has garnered much success-all making to #1 on COUNTRY charts. only 1 out of 3 singles miranda released has made it to #1. carrie had one of the biggest tours ever and reviews ravished about how entertaining and how carrie is truly a country superstar. She can sing anything at anytime anywhere and can write and play instruments too. didn’t know that? well don’t say things you know not . Of course, sales don’t necessarily mean that you are THE entertainer but you can’t put it against carrie. 1.8 million albums already sold just FYI. Carrie’s already headlined 2 MASSIVELY successful tours while miranda was still opening for other people. Carrie has developed into a super star while as talented as miranda is is just a star.

I don’t think carrie being snub has a lot to do with the whole “two female artist can’t be nominated at same time”. after the whole fiasco with the taylor swift scooping it all-cma knew they need another booster for ratings and so didn’t want to just give carrie the nomination and WIN that she deserved. so who was there to stand and compete against carrie? there really wasn’t anyone so CMA, after ignoring miranda for years tries to make “amends” by oversaturating her and putting other nominees who wasn’t even half as successful as carrie or half as matured as a country singer so it won’t appear as if they were using miranda just as an excuses to SNUB and USE carrie. CMA is just greedy and full of politics. they’re just using carrie for ratings (thus giving her the hand in hosting) but not even giving her justly deserved nominations. carrie should just have said NO. but seeing how carrie is-she will still do it regardless because she loves the country community so much. I don’t like how they’re just using carrie’s character to MANIPULATE. SHAME ON CMA.

Whitney: THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! You said everything we Carrie fans wanted to say, but better. I really appreciate you taking the time to defend Carrie and point out all the reasons she should have been considered for EOTY. I had previously thought you were not a big fan of Carrie, but I was wrong, and I owe you an apology for that.

Carrie totally deserved the nomination long ago, and I do think it is a combination of elitism to snub her for coming from American Idol, as well as jealousy that she has done so well, when maybe the voters’ favorites have not faired as well.
But for a major news publication such as Entertainment Weekly to finally say, what should have been said long ago, has made me feel so much better. I was feeling pretty anry and down yesterday about Carrie’s snub, as I honestly wonder what on earth the voters expect Carrie to do if they think she hasn’t deserved it yet? She has headlined two major, successful tours that got great reviews (especially the recent Play On tour), and she writes many of her own songs now. She plays both piano and guitar every night on stage (contrary to the misinformed allegations of her haters here who have no clue what they are talking about),she sells a ton of albums, does great on country radio with all number 1 hits, and has been a great ambassador for country music.
CMA VOTERS: CARRIE UNDERWOOD IS THE REASON I GREW TO LOVE COUNTRY MUSIC AS SHE INTRODUCED ME TO IT ON AMERICAN IDOL. So give her some credit for expanding the minds of many of us rock and pop fans, who now love country music and buy albums of other artists too such as Miranda, Brad, Keith Urban, etc. Carrie got me to give the genre another chance, and it is because of her that I am now a proud country fan. You go girl, Carrie! We love you even if the crotchety CMA voters snub you!

I wish the CMAs had played her duet with Jason Aldean last night on the show, where she rocked out to Guns n Roses. She did even better then Jason, who I do love, and she would have put those snarky jaded voters all to shame when they saw how GREAT of a performer she really is. Carrie can jam to Guns n Roses almost as good as Axel Rose, and that is no lie. Why do people not know about this side of her? If more people did, they would see how much she has grown as a live performer since her days on Idol, when she was shy and reserved. Now, she has upped her game, improved her stage presence, and put on a tremendous live show that is getting great critical reviews all over the country. CMA voters: If you snubbed her for being on American Idol, you are both hypocrites and elitist snobs, since your darling Miranda LAmbert came from a reality show too, Nashville Star.

Don’t worry Carrie: WE LOVE YOU AND YOU ARE THE ENTERTAINER OF OUR YEAR, ALWAYS!!!
