Image Credit: Chris Hatcher/PR PhotosYesterday, Ellen DeGeneres announced that she had signed British singer Tom Andrews as the second artist on her eleveneleven label. Which got us wondering what had happened to her company’s first artist, Greyson Chance, who at the age of 12 became an Internet phenom earlier this year thanks to a video of him performing Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi.”
The answer? Quite a lot. According to a spokesperson for Telepictures Productions, which makes Ellen, young Mr Chance is “in the studio and we expect to release this fall.”
But it’s not all been work, work, (home)work. On Sunday, Chance attended the VMAs where he hung out with Justin Bieber and Jaden Smith—you can watch this summit after the jump. He’s also found time to visit Seattle where, according to his facebook page, he made lots of new friends.

and while i’m at it. HOPEFULLY they don’t ruin greyson by making him record bieber crap. hopefully he gets to center his music around his piano. i know that’s not popular right now, but i want someone to bring melodies and instrumentation back to pop music. enough kesha, beiber, and now god-awful usher music. shame, usher used to be awesome until will.i.am got ahold of him
how is bieber crap?over 5 million albums sold. it’s a little more than Michael Jackson debut album.the number one music video on youtube.concerts sold out all over america.

I’m ashamed to live in the same world as you. you have no clue about music AT ALL. you cant compare genuine melodic and harmonic vocals to atotuned crap. MJ will always be THE ONLY KING OF POP AND ENTERTAINMENT. The only reason why JB sold so much, is because of his cuteness and catchy tunes (which, by the way areeee sooooo not special, AND not writter by him) … so, like, investigate….youve just compared the beatles to the jonas brothers.
Bieber is popular because tween girls like his looks, nothing more. They are so blind they can’t even see how arrogant he is.
I hope Greyson does well, he seems down to earth and actually writes his own music. But will the lil girl audience take to him? :/
I wish Ellen had gotten a hold of Alex Lambert sooner,cuz I found out recently he’s working with A-list songwriters for his debut album,and he is under the tight control of Simon Fuller on the show-If I Can Dream…

Record labels are a joke anyway, as the music industry as we’ve known it continues to die off, but…why is Ellen only signing teenage or pre-teen boys? How about, oh, I dunno, a fully-formed ADULT with adult ideas and adult songs instead of, as Grampa Simpson once put it, “unadulterated pap”?
