i don’t reconize some of the nominies names.Why aren’t Hermans Hermits w/Peter Noone aren’t on that list. They certainly deserve it. They are still performing after all these years. Don’t forget them.
No Rush for 2011!!! Really, really??you have got to be kidding! How about recognizing some real musicianship and people who can write lyrics…and perform like crazy. Need to be inducted…JUST DO IT!!!
6 of these names, I’ve never even heard of! No RUSH?? And what about Peter Frampton?? It would’ve been great for him to finally get recognition this year since he’s currently on the 35th anniversary tour since the release of his Frampton Comes Alive.(Which I believe still holds a record for sales for a live album?) The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame is pretty much a joke.
Rush, Jethro Tull, Yes, Chicago, King Crimson, Moody Blues, Boston, Kansas WERE ALL SNUBBED!!!
All of them wrote legendary rock anthems with power guitar chords & great lyrics & talent the likes of which the Beastie Boys & Donovan could never hope to come close to matching in their wildest dreams!
Looks like RUSH may have to wait until 2112 before they get in!

it is a disgrace that bands like journey and rush who write their own material are excluded in favor of one hit wonders like the beastie boys.
RRHOF is a joke…whoever is making these decisions should be fired. Its clearly time to open a REAL Rock n Roll hall of Fame across the street from the *ahem* All Kinds of Music Hall of Fame. Keywords: ROCK and FAME. LL COOL J not ROCK, Madonna not ROCK. Beasty boys is tough…I like EM but the only “rock” song they had was fight for you’re right to party. GENE is greedy, but you cant deny KISS from the ROCK hall of fame. RUSH, no reason not to be there already, They should hand the reigns over to someone more capable of grasping what rock is…VH1, Maybe, or Do an american idol type of vote from the public, I mean its the public that goes, not the magazine writers, or record producers. Just rename it already.

I agree that the rock and roll hall of fame is nothing but an insult to the real best artists of all time, more specifically Rush, the best band of all time, the RARHOF better get Rush inducted next time or they will be making a huge mistake. Just to let u no, commerical music is pathetic like bon jovi, Rush rules, any one who disagrees is not a real rock and roll fan.
True, the Beastie Boys are more deserving than Rush and Kiss. But that’s not saying all that much. And anyway, the fact that T. Rex. isn’t even on the ballot yet is disturbing. They should have been there for 20 years by now. Johnny Rotten was right, the place really is a pi$$ stain.
