Image Credit: D Dipasupil/FilmMagic.comKanye West took to Twitter this morning to announce the name of his upcoming fifth studio album: My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. The title Dark Twisted Fantasy had been rumored for months, but now West has made it official with the addition of a personal pronoun and another descriptive adjective. (Allow us a brief interjection from the grammar police: Shouldn’t there be a comma or two in there somewhere?)
West has also said on Twitter that the album will arrive on Nov. 22, a Monday, though his label has yet to formally confirm a title or release date. Can’t wait that long? Look out for the final version of “All of the Lights,” a track that recently leaked in unfinished form and that West promised will be the next single from My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. West added that the album will include some of the songs he’s given away for free in his “G.O.O.D. Fridays” series this summer and fall.

Amazingly talented musician. This is one of the few must buys of 2010. Hope it’s as good as his first two classic albums, “College Dropout” and “Late Registration”.

And if bashing Kanye is your definition of “civic duty” then maybe you should spend less time playing video games in your mom’s basement (yes, I’m aware that you’re probably 40) and go out in to the world to take up a REAL cause. Sad to see people still clicking on articles to bash a man who’s done nothing wrong to you…having said that, I agree with another poster the title sounds a bit emo, and I was hoping none of his free music would be on the CD, not like it matters though I’ll probably be downloading it like every other CD.
Well, supposedly I’d assume that the “Power” Remix with Jay-Z & Swizz Beatz, along with “Monster” and the new track “So Appaled” with Jay, Rza, Swizz Beatz, Pusha T & Cyhi The Prynce” are all from the separate joint EP with Jay-Z “Watch The Thrown” which has no release date or has had any of those songs I mentioned available to be purchased digitally as of right now.
Kinda funny how everyone is talking bout how he and Taylor both released singles today…I said it before & I’ll say it again…both labels Def Jam & Big Machine are distributed thru Universal so they’re just sitting back collecting the money.
