For a third consecutive week, Bruno Mars‘ “Just the Way You Are” is No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Far East Movement‘s techno party-starter “Like a G6″ flies up four spots to No. 2. Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream” falls a spot to No. 3.
Nelly’s “Just a Dream” rises three to No. 4. Both falling one spot, Usher‘s “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love” is No. 5 and Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite” is No. 6. Eminem‘s Rihanna-assisted “Love the Way You Lie” slides back four places to No. 7. But the red-haired singer is at it alone on “Only Girl (in the World),” which holds at No. 8. Enrique Iglesias’ “I Like It” stays at No. 9. And “Club Can’t Handle Me” by Flo Rida rounds out the top 10 at No. 10.

That woman’s name is Dev…and the only other current single available from her on iTunes now is another party track called “Booty Bounce”. Its not changing the world anytime soon, but its sure fun to dance to!
Saw Far East Movement open for Mike Posner last night in Philly for Mike Posner, and gotta say, they’re still growing as performers, but its nice to see some diversity on the charts with a group of Asians. With that said…hopefully their stage show will change up some as they grow as peformers, since alot of it reminded my of Deadmau5, esp. when the one member wore an oversized monkey’s head during “Go Ape”. Oh but the small theater crowd all had their hands in the air the entire 25 minute Far East was on the stage…and gotta admit, Ryan Tedder sings most of their next single, “Rocketeer” but it was great hearing his voice over an uptempo tune again! Should keep their hit streak going.
I think the main reason why I like this song is because of Dev. She seems to be carving herself out as the U.S. version of Robyn – I just wish that “Fireball” was still available on iTunes so that people could see the range she actually has. Not sure if it will hit #1 next week with Bruno’s CD release, but I could see it there the week after with this momentum.
Hey Brian! You’ll be happy to know Interscope is FINALLY going for pop radio adds on Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own” the week after Halloween! Her concert with kelis this summer was one of my summer highlights! The remixes of “Hang With Me” are pretty good too. And I was a little bit late, but sure as I precicted, that “Dirty Picture” song of Taio & Ke$ha’s finally being worked, and then they’re re -releasing her debut with a slew of new tracks, hahaha So predictable that I called that back in May! Have an awesome weekend in Beantown!
