Bruno Mars has been dethroned. After a month at No. 1, his “Just the Way You Are” drops one slot this week to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Flying in to take its place is Far East Movement‘s “Like a G6.” Nelly’s “Just a Dream” follows them, holding on to his No. 3 spot. Next is Rihanna, whose “Only Girl (In the World)” moves up to two rungs to No. 4. Usher‘s “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love” remains at No. 5.
Taylor Swift’s “Back to December” debuts big at No. 6, while Katy Perry‘s “Teenage Dream” slips three places to No. 7. Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite” loses a little bang and falls one to No. 8. Flo Rida’s “Club Can’t Handle Me” sticks to its No. 9 place. And Trey Songz’s “Bottoms Up” rounds out the top 10 at No. 10.

I got their album last week–very catchy dance numbers! I saw where their song jumped from 4 to 2. When it was No. 6, just entering the top 10, I heard it a lot more on the radio. I like that they went to No. 1 at that pace just as the Katy Perry and Bruno Mars songs were cooling down. I hope So What is the next single–I’ve been playing it the most from their new album! And the Keri Hilson, Snoop Dogg and Ryan Tedder numbers. They remind me so much of Black Eyed Peas with how they sing and rap in their songs, but they have their own premise.

I can’t stand Teenage Dream anymore… It was cool and all every now and then, now it’s always playing and it’s just too much. G6 is alright sometimes, I love Bruno, he needs to be back to 1 with Nelly’s song at number 2. And Taylor Swift is getting annoying with all her songs always playing too…
Bruno had a good run for 4 weeks. I knew it would get up there to No. 1 the first time I heard it on Sept. 23rd. At first I thought it was Mike Posner–their voices sound almost alike, but when I saw it was Bruno, I went-that guy’s got a great voice. His album is very good, melodic and strong in song structures.
I’ve been listening to FM for about 5 years now, and “Like a G6″ is my least favorite song of theirs.
They have much better songs, like “Animal” from their first album, and “Fetish.”
