The Flaming Lips are coming to Yo Gabba Gabba! Oklahoma’s most famous psychedelic rockers will appear on the Nov. 5 episode of the popular kids’ show singing “I Can Be a Frog,” from their 2009 album Embryonic. Hit the jump for an exclusive minute-long preview of their performance.
As you’ll see, “I Can Be a Frog” is a catchy tune about the power of imagination. Lead Lip Wayne Coyne sings it while wearing multiple hats.
Cute, right? Will you be tuning in to Nickelodeon at 11:30 A.M. on Friday, Nov. 5? Let us know what you think in comments.

Yo Gabba Gabba!: TV's hippest kids' show

Seems to fit right in. I don’t know what the kids will think, but Wayne Coyne should be the new permanent character.
And if Larry David shows up here, just ignore him, DO NOT REPLY!!!!
I Can Be A Frog was written by the band for their last album Embryonic so I don’t think the Yo Gabba Gabba! writing staff had much to do with it.
I have a feeling that was typo and is supposed to read, “AND an original song penned by…”
Love It!
My kids are already familiar with the Flaming Lips and this song. I just saw them in concert and made sure to record this song being played for my 4 year old. I can’t wait for this to air on TV. I’ll have to DVR it, but we will watch it as soon as I get home from work!!!! I’m so excited about this that I wrote it on my calendar. Thank you so much for getting the Lips on your show. I appreciate shows that open children up to real musicians!
When a band I love as much as The Flaming Lips appears on a show my kids love, it’s a great day to be a mom.
This…is…EPIC. When I get to see the whole segment, I’m pretty sure it will make my brain explode (but in a good way).
I can’t believe I’m going to TiVo Yo Gabba Gabba.
That’d be awesome if they rolled right in to “Silver Trembling Hands” after this song but I guess that might be a bit much for the kiddie viewers.
AAAA!
My kids love the lips and yo gabba gabba ages 8 and 4 and so do I great to have something we both love to watch together!
i wonder if wayne is going to do forehead blood?
the dude dancing in the orange suit is so legit.
That dude is DJ Lance Rock, and yes he is quite legit.
All I can say after watching that today with my two year old was, “WTF?!?!” Even the look on his face said the same thing. How can anyone call that talent? They suck! Wow, somebody at Nick should be fired.
I can’t wait to see this episode! We love Yo Gabba Gabba and The Flaming Lips. Always full of AWESOME!!!!! moremoremoremoremoremoremore!
