But this time, her overachieving boobs are enlisted for a cause: boosting the self-worth of young people (gay, sick, not-skinny) who feel marginalized by the world’s narrowly-applied standards of beauty and sexuality.
And if you’re keeping track, her “Firework”clip, posted below, now constitutes the third entry this month for an unofficial It Gets Better theme song by a major 2010 pop star (see also: Pink’s “Raise Your Glass,” Ke$ha’s “We R Who We R”).

HORRIBLE!! Her vocals are piss-weak and do not do the chorus justice. Her tits are the prime focus in every video and she may as well do a porno. Also, she put every single stereotype out there into this video….HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF SUBTLETY?
I bet you didn’t make those same complaints when Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful” came out, and “Firework” is essentially the same thing. Oh, when Christina does it, it’s empowering, but when Katy Perry does it, it’s self-serving? F*ck off, HATER.
Well I didn’t, but that’s because I was young then and thought everything was amazing. But anyway, “Beautiful” is an amazing song whereas “Firework” is just generic.
Also, you need to stop calling people haters. FYI, I bought the album and loved most of it. “Teenage Dream”, “Last Friday Night”, “The One That Got Away” and “E.T.” are amazing songs. Just because I hate one song doesn’t make me a hater. NEXT!

This formula is what she’s been doing for the last couple of years but you only notice it now? not convinced.
