LeAnn Rimes‘ new single, “Crazy Women,” opens dramatically: “Who’d have guessed that Aquanet/Could start a fire with a single cigarette?” And with that line, a sardonic country-pop revenge tale bursts into flame. You can hear the tune over at People, which compares it to Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats.”
“Crazy women, ex-wives, and old girlfriends/Keep their crazy hidden ’til they’re pushed off the deep end,” goes the catchy chorus. A moment later she clarifies: “Crazy women are made by crazy men.” Might Rimes just possibly be responding to all the tabloid tsking about her personal life? Hmm…
“Crazy Women” will appear on Rimes’ upcoming album Lady and Gentlemen. Take a listen over at People and let us know whether you like it.

Sounds like a typical scourned woman country tune, but it is endearing to hear LeAnn sing the word ‘b!tch’. Her vocals are surprisingly clear, considering the banjo-y thump of the production. Will this be a pop hit? Maybe. They can easily service a ‘pop’ version since her vocals aren’t too twangy.
LeAnn is a hell of a singer first and foremost and this song is fun and more country than anything on country stations currently.

Well the first sign that this is going to bad is the fact that Leann had to resort to THREE fake engagements just to hype it up. Seeing as how this single came out Monday and she had People mag write the fluff, I wouldn’t doubt that Leann was the one who leaked the info about her single to E. How sad for her that she can’t sell her album or single on talent alone, she has to create trouble.
Another indication that this is bad is the number of “pro-Leann” fans that just so happen to pop up out of the blue. Now where were these people when she had to cancel her concerts because the ticket sales were low, I mean because Leann had the flu?
She didn’t leak that information to E!. E! made up the story and she called them out on it. You’re really ignorant. She DID have the flu. She canceled 3 shows. The rest are still going to be held.

Leann most certainly did leak that info to E. E didn’t make up the story, that is something Leann wants people to believe because she was trying to create a scandal to sell her new album. Leann did not have the flu, as evidenced by the fact that she continued to tweet and tweet about those kids. Leann’s sickness seems to go and come as it pleases. Like when she can’t get EC to go on tour with her, here comes the stomach ache. Or when EC pays more attention to those kids than he does to her. Stomach ache. And yet with this terrible stomache, LR keeps drinking beer, wine, and alcohol.
Exactly my point. Why is it that these fans only show up at times like this? Where are they when LR needs to sell tickets or get her single into the top 20s? LR isn’t singing very well, all you have to do is look at her ticket sales and the fact that these “fans” show up out of the blue. And the fact that she has to use her affair with this man to draw attention to her album and single. How odd, she goes off on E and then the next thing we know, she uses People mag to promote her album.

You people are a joke! She’s no Miranda Lambert …….. Please I like Miranda and all but everyone is forgetting that Leann has been singing 15 years. lets see they staying power of Carrie, Taylor and Miranda before we judge and compare. Secondly This women does more for the community and kids all around the world then 90% of stars and has a huge heart. Maybe everyone should move on with there life and relationships and stay the f*** out of hers. And Not to mention she has more money than she needs and could quit singing all together if she wanted to!!! Obviously she is doing it b/c it is what she loves too! She never cancelled a concert because of low ticket sales. She just had an almost sold out acoustic tour this fall. Get your facts straight.

Adore her voice but she has some of the blandest writing. The whole Eddie thing has been a turn off, not because I’m some holier than thou judge of people’s sex lives, but the way she’s handled it has been atrocious. The twitter dramatics, the constant need to validate her relationship, the second single about crazy ex-wives. If she got with Eddie and they had a nice quiet relationship, that would have been the best thing, but it’ll flame out in 2011.

I think she’s handled it fine. She’s been up front, honest, and in the face of hateful tweeters/bloggers/etc, she’s remained positive. I think the songs is great, period.
Uhhh..Ella she’s handled it terribly. She either has or supports people who make up fake twitter accounts and harrass his ex wife daily. his ex wife has asked her not to tweet about her kids yet she mentions Eddie’s kids at least once a day. Eddie has been the only one to be silent about everything and for that i give him props because he’s letting it die. Leann wont. I like the song but won’t support her ever again. She has absolutely NO class.

I could never be a country artist because that world if full of judgmental hypocrites. I thought the song was catchy and fun but all you people can do is judge her because she cheated on her husband. Its none of your business. As far as everyone saying she handled it badly, in what way? She admitted what she did and told her side and that was that. What else do you want? I guess all you holier than thou redneck Jesus freaks need to excuse the rest of us humans for not being perfect like you. Open up your Bible sometime and you will see that she would be forgiven by Him.

Crazy Women – it’s a great written song… fun sassy tongue in cheek the bridge to the last verse is great…
the production is fresh and rocking… letting the lyrics shine through and leann is singing great… the last chorus she looks to have changed the chorus lyrics to include herself in the crazy women category…
and if shape magazine’s number are true to form.. 40 people out of 6 million readers wrote in with crazy women comments…
i’ll take those odds any ole day of the week.. if radio has any balls they will add it and let it be a hit in spite of the 40 people who have nothing better to do than do the devil’s handiwork…..the ones who do not “get” how fun and good of a song this is.. well they do not i repeat do not have the ability to write a bad nursery rhyme to save their lives..

No LeAnn didn’t WRITE the song, she CHOSE the song. LeAnn has said in many interviews that she ONLY chooses songs that speak to her and reflect HER feelings. She’s said she doesn’t write/chose songs because she feels they’ll be an airplay hit. This song IS what she feels and will not be a hit because it’s nothing remarkable or special and the artist herself lacks respect to the broader market needed to make it a commercial hit!
She doesn’t write wongs because she’s not an artist. She’s a singer. Even Carrie Underwood is creating an artist out of herself. LeAnn’s just a karaoke singer with a better than average voice. Although she needs to keep the rocks out of her mouth that she tends to sing with these days.
What? LeAnn’s been writing songs since she was a kid! She has writing credits from her first album, “Blue” to her latest record, “Family”. She won an ASCAP award for “Nothin’ Better to Do”, a song she wrote back in ’07. And she can sing with the best of them. Give me a break!
