Susan Boyle’s The Gift comes in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart for the fourth (non-consecutive) week, selling 243,000 more albums. And again, Taylor Swift’s Speak Now follows at No. 2 with 201,000 albums sold. Meanwhile, Glee‘s Christmas album jumps up a slot to No. 3 with 193,000 sets moved.
The chart’s highest debut is T.I.’s No. 4 No Mercy with an underwhelming 159,000 albums sold. His current jail stint leaves him unable to properly promote it. These kinds of numbers were surely expected. Check out the entire top 10 below.

SuBo only does covers. The people who go bananas over her are not very adventurous. She’s “safe” music–seems hard to believe that sells so so much with the other genres so popular. It’s gotta be a generational thing.
Well there are over 11 million “adventurous” people that own her 2 albums all over the world. I’d have to say that’s pretty good for “safe” holiday music. Everyone should be so lucky as SuBo.

It’s amazing that Taylor Swift has sold nearly 2 and half million of her album now in only 7 weeks of release. She’s quickly catching up to Lady Antebellum and Eminem too. Wowie.
Looks like Taylor will take the #1 spot the next 2 weeks. I remember that she dominated the last 2 weeks before Christmas with “Fearless”, so it should not be any different this time around. She should sell over 3 million by the end of the month.
How far behind is Taylor from Lady A and Eminem?
Swift will pass Lady Antebellum’s numbers by year end and will probably surpass Eminem sometime in January. She’s rolling full steam ahead into Christmas week.
How much has Lady Antebellum and Eminem sold compared to where Taylor is right now? She seems to be doing very well after almost 2 months of release of her album.
