Susan Boyle's 'Gift' spends its fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart

Susan Boyle’s The Gift comes in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart for the fourth (non-consecutive) week, selling 243,000 more albums. And again, Taylor Swift’s Speak Now follows at No. 2 with 201,000 albums sold. Meanwhile, Glee‘s Christmas album jumps up a slot to No. 3 with 193,000 sets moved.

The chart’s highest debut is T.I.’s No. 4 No Mercy with an underwhelming 159,000 albums sold. His current jail stint leaves him unable to properly promote it. These kinds of numbers were surely expected. Check out the entire top 10 below.

    • Aunt Sassy

True dat cuz! People in this country have HORRID taste in music and further celebrating this homely cow because of her “sob story” is just redonkulous.

    • Thalia

At least they kicked Kanye to the curb because his so-called brilliant album is nowhere to be found in the Top 10 in only his 3rd week out. I guess that mouth of his finally caught up to him.

    • Hahaha you suck

America is fine…its the rest of the world thats dumb

    • Carol

The only regular album that’s worth buying in the Top 10 is Taylor’s “Speak Now” and just pick and choose between the several Christmas albums.

  • CB

Funny. No mention that Kanye West tumbled out of the top 10 to 14 with only 67,000 units sold.

    • Brawny Ben

      Who dat?

      • Kelly Anne

The idiot who stole a young girl’s dream speech dat who.

    • Tyrese

Looks like Nicki Minaj will end up surpassing Kanye’s fabulous critically acclaimed (cough cough) album in the long run. She’s still hanging in there with the rest of the ladies Susan, Taylor, and Jackie. Roman’s Revenge is better than anything Kanye has ever done. Go Nicki!

  • neetsie

    One word: BORING!!!

  • kanyesucks

i’m so sad Jackie sold just 149,000 at no.5. i hoped it’d get over 200k.
but kanye keep dropping made my day.

  • Rand

Or Tim has horrible taste! I think America’s getting it RIGHT for once!

  • Nana Yaw

    Haha! Where is Kayne West?

    • Tejara

Apparently hip hop singing an Xmas song in Harlem back to where he belongs.

  • jaiden

Susan Boyle her voice is amazing!

  • You’re Kidding Right?

haha. The ugliest and prettiest in music at the moment are right next to each other.

    • Tortellini

Yes I agree Josh Groban is the ugliest and that Nicki Minaj is the prettiest!

    • Double Jeopardy

Uh huh that be SuBoils and TaylyricalSwift.

    • Anthony DeCezarassa

Wrong! The ‘ugliest’ one already dropped out of the TOP 10 never to be heard from again.

  • Dee Jones

Well good for SuBo. I`m not a fan but she does have a pleasant to good voice. Wish her well.

Susan Boyle has a great voice.Dvd would be unkind to her though.

  • JulieB

SuBo only does covers. The people who go bananas over her are not very adventurous. She’s “safe” music–seems hard to believe that sells so so much with the other genres so popular. It’s gotta be a generational thing.

    • Karen

Well there are over 11 million “adventurous” people that own her 2 albums all over the world. I’d have to say that’s pretty good for “safe” holiday music. Everyone should be so lucky as SuBo.

  • Ne Oublie

    Daft Punk is excellent!

  • Penelope

It’s amazing that Taylor Swift has sold nearly 2 and half million of her album now in only 7 weeks of release. She’s quickly catching up to Lady Antebellum and Eminem too. Wowie.

    • Jaden

Looks like Taylor will take the #1 spot the next 2 weeks. I remember that she dominated the last 2 weeks before Christmas with “Fearless”, so it should not be any different this time around. She should sell over 3 million by the end of the month.

    • Madeline

How far behind is Taylor from Lady A and Eminem?

      • Adam

Swift will pass Lady Antebellum’s numbers by year end and will probably surpass Eminem sometime in January. She’s rolling full steam ahead into Christmas week.

    • Madeline

How much has Lady Antebellum and Eminem sold compared to where Taylor is right now? She seems to be doing very well after almost 2 months of release of her album.

  • Torrin

    Bought nos. 2,6,and 9.

  • Mel

A top 10 list full of crap. What else is new?
