Hey Ho Let’s Go! Ramones!
So happy for all of these especially Julie and Dolly. Dolly Parton is my absolute favorite and I wish radio hadn’t abandoned her. This is just one more feather in her very feathered wig.
Hooray for the Ramones!!!
Love them and BBWMarriage was amazing
A shame we won’t see these talents get any worthy commercial airtime at the upcoming Grammy ceremonies. Only CBS…
Actually Dan, the Lifetime Achievement Grammy winners get special mentions throughout the televised ceremony, and if they’re in the audience they’re given a chance to acknowledge the crowd cheering for them. That’s at least better than most of the winners of the current awards will get this year.
True… But I remember the Grammys of long ago where Pavorotti, Lena Horne, Miles Davis, and Frank had their moment in the ceremonies. Of course, the producers did cut off Ol’Blue Eyes in the middle of his lifetime speech that one year. Integrity no longer sells, I guess, not in these times…
the Ramones-yea
Why why WHY would they not award these AT THE TELEVISED CEREMONY?? I would much rather see the Ramones, Julie and Dolly than Justin Bieber and any number of interchangeable quasi-rappers. Happy for the great list, very sad for CBS
Can we have Julie and Dolly singing “I Wanna Be Sedated” with the Juilliard String Quartet?
YAY Julie Andrews!!
Learn all about the Ramones in the book “On The Road With The Ramones.”
This is a MUST-HAVE book for all Ramones fans. Based around the story of Monte A. Melnick who was the Ramones tour manager (and much more) throughout their entire career (1974-1996, and 2,263 live shows). It’s an inside look from the people who were actually there witnessing and experiencing all the extreme highs and lows of one of rock’s greatest bands. The book is packed with interviews from the Ramones and many many more people who where very close to the band. There are over 250 photographs and pictures of memorabilia Monte collected along the way. Buy it, read it and then revisit their albums. You’ll never look at the Ramones in the same light.
