Speak Now is excellent. I expect it to garner Album of the Year noms across the board at all the award shows in 2011 just like Fearless did in 2009.
I hope she gets acknowledgment for her work too. “Speak Now” is a really mature piece of work from Taylor.
We’ll know in a few months when the ACM rewards the first major awards for the year. It seems like it should be a hands down clincher but stranger things have happened during these unpredictable awards shows that are fan voted.
Nicki’s Pink Friday is sick. I don’t get all the rah rah about Ye’s album and I think it’s his worst album of all in his career.
January sales are usually boring as hell. No one will sell in the month of January. Blah.

gold is sooooooo overrated. Although she has the Midas touch, all her albums go multi Platinum and she actually sold Diamond status on a worldwide basis with Fearless. The World Music awards should award her that trophy soon.
Taylor is hit and miss. I bought 5 copies for gifts for friends and 4 of them appreciated it immensely and love the gift and one looked at me like are you kidding? So, I guess Taylor is not “everybody’s” taste but she satisfies enough of the buying crowd to remain a favorite.
of course not everybody will like her and that’s inevitable. everybody has their own musical taste but I think her music is so well written and relatable that’s why so many people love her.

Is Taylor Swift still singing songs about high school? I’m sorry, but her music is completely boring! She may be nice, but it doesn’t make her interesting at all.
Kanye, on the other hand, may be a jerk but he made the more interesting album. Like it or not, he probably made the best rap album of the past several years. However, some of you will refuse to give it a fair shake because he hurt your feelings when he did what he did to Taylor.
No Taylor isn’t “still” singing songs about high school and if you had listened to her latest album, you wouldn’t have made such an ignoramus comment and whether or not her music is boring is subjective to taste and preference and the admission of her character being nice has no connection on the subject of being interesting or not.
Kanye “is” a loudmouthed self grandstanding jerk, no ifs or ands about that assertion and whether or not his album is “more interesting” is also based on taste and preference and whether or not it’s the best rap album in years is also subject to debate.
I can’t speak for others but I absolutely gave his album a fair shake because I did listen to it in its entirety and I have to say it’s a whole lot of nonsense and pales in comparison to his earlier albums. This is only my opinion and it only matters to myself, but it would seem that a predominant amount of the public agrees as his latest effort is not selling well at all, so therefore his previous fans that liked his early works are not impressed with it and therefore the slump. Laughing my head of on our “feelings” getting hurt as that should be addressed only to Taylor as she was the only one that got the brunt of that anal outcry from the loudmouthed grandstander.

Taylor’s Speak Now is an elite collection of her great work of the past 2 years of writing. I’m very impressed with what she came up with and her concept for the album was crafted so carefully and everything seems to meld together and work. I can’t stop listening to it. Happy times in 2011 for her fans and herself! Go Taylor!
I know! thank god I found her music in 2006. And through it all, she’s still the same girl. couldve been more proud for her. the way she treats her fans, nothing like any musicians I’ve seen.
I love Taylor’s album. It’s the best of her 3 so far.
I think all three of Taylor’s albums are unique and terrific in their own way. You can’t compare the three at all. I love each album for its separate quality and diverse song choices.

I don’t artists these days take pride in releasing a full set of songs worth owning. They are just release for commercial purpose to grab the money as fast quickly with out putting out good songs. Taylor is one who cares for putting out good songs to own for the album so that’s why she’s sale more for her albums.
There’s usually no new releases in the first month of January. Well at least not very many high profile releases from major artists, so Taylor is good to stay at that numero uno position for at least another 5 or 6 weeks. Her album deserves it becuz it’s grrrreat!
