Lady Gaga’s little monsters got a special holiday treat last night in London when the never-a-dull-moment star ripped the head off a Santa doll and impaled it on her high heel. “I do like Christmas,” she said, picking the doll up off the stage, but to “keep everyone happy,” she then sacrificed the stuffed toy to the attention-grabbing gods. The video contains some salty language: READ FULL STORY »

Aretha Franklin resting at home following surgery
Aretha Franklin is resting at home, following “highly successful” surgery for an undisclosed ailment on Dec. 2, according to People Magazine. In a statement, the 68-year-old singer, who’s reportedly suffering from pancreatic cancer, said, “I’ve been at home for almost three days now. My family and friends who brought me home are taking great care of me … I’m hoping to be strong enough to go out and see the upcoming Sam Cooke play at the Music Hall in downtown Detroit before Jan. 2, as well as a performance of Dreamgirls at the FOX before it closes.”
Kanye West's 'Christmas in Harlem' leaks: Hear it here
Image Credit: Chris Hatcher/PR PhotosMerry Christmas from Kanye West, everyone! “Christmas in Harlem,” a jolly new tune featuring his protégés CyHi Da Prynce and Teyana Taylor that leaked online today, is a worthy addition to the holiday hip-hop canon. If you like classics of the genre like Run-DMC’s “Christmas in Hollis,” Ludacris’ “Ludacrismas,” and Jim Jones’ “Dipset Xmas Time,” you’ll love this.
“It’s 40 below the windchill/And we’re wiping snow off the windshield/But still, wonderful night to be alive, baby/And I’m so happy to be with my baby,” Kanye raps in his good-natured opening verse. Aww! He later compares himself to the title character from 2003′s Bad Santa, which is pretty hilarious. CyHi follows up with a slick verse, ending with the following ecumenical promise: “Happy Kwanzaa, and for the ones that aren’t Christian/Everybody gets gifts as long as I’m living!” Thanks, dude.
According to a tweet from CyHi, what leaked is an unfinished version: “The real one is coming!” And Kanye himself tweeted that “Christmas in Harlem” will eventually feature additional vocals from Cam’Ron, Jim Jones, Pusha T, Big Sean, and Musiq. This song is already so awesome that I can’t wait to hear the final track. Check out “Christmas in Harlem” after the jump and let us know if you agree.
Bruce Springsteen brings 'The Promise' to a tiny New Jersey theater: Watch here
Sixty Bruce Springsteen fans got a memorable holiday gift last week when they crowded into Asbury Park, N.J.’s teensy Carousel House for a very special E Street Band concert. Sore that you weren’t in the audience? Rejoice, for the Boss just released a high-quality half-hour film from that night on Vevo for all to see.
Songs from the Promise, which you can stream right here after the jump, makes me even more jealous of the lucky dogs who were there in person. Springsteen and Co. have a blast performing highlights from The Promise, the new 2-CD set of outtakes from 1978′s Darkness on the Edge of Town: the revved-up “Racing in the Street (’78),” the hopeful “Gotta Get that Feeling,” the rollicking “Ain’t Good Enough For You,” and the mournful “The Promise.” They top it off with a spin through “Blue Christmas,” the rock’n'roll carol popularized by Elvis Presley.
I’m left with just one question. When are these guys going to hit the road again for a proper tour? They were busy all year finishing up The Promise, but clearly they haven’t lost the performing bug. Here’s hoping 2011 brings some less exclusive E Street engagements. Watch Songs from the Promise after the jump and let us know if you agree. READ FULL STORY »
Bon Jovi passed over by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: Three reasons they deserve to get in
Image Credit: Kevin Winter/Getty ImagesThe Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced its 2011 inductees today—Tom Waits, Neil Diamond, Alice Cooper, Dr. John, and Darlene Love are set to be immortalized in the the March 14 ceremony, which will air on Fuse. But those inductees are out of 15 possible nominees that were made public in September. First of all: Big ups to all of those lucky musicians! Congrats. But as you may or may not know, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame releases a list of nominees a few months before announcing who’ll actually be inducted that year. It was after looking over that list of possible inductees that I found myself stunned: Bon Jovi didn’t make the cut. Granted, there are several other deserving folks who were nominated and didn’t make it, and this was only the first year that Bon Jovi was nominated (they’ll probably get in before too much longer), but it does seem more than egregious that they didn’t make it. Right? Right. Anyway, without further ado, I present my three reasons why Bon Jovi should have made the cut this year.
• Um, have you heard “Livin’ on a Prayer”? How can you not revel in that awesome song? Relive it here:
Susan Boyle's 'Gift' spends its fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart
Susan Boyle’s The Gift comes in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart for the fourth (non-consecutive) week, selling 243,000 more albums. And again, Taylor Swift’s Speak Now follows at No. 2 with 201,000 albums sold. Meanwhile, Glee‘s Christmas album jumps up a slot to No. 3 with 193,000 sets moved.
The chart’s highest debut is T.I.’s No. 4 No Mercy with an underwhelming 159,000 albums sold. His current jail stint leaves him unable to properly promote it. These kinds of numbers were surely expected. Check out the entire top 10 below.

Usher accidentally kicked in the face while seducing a fan on stage
Usher‘s OMG tour made its way through New York’s Madison Square Garden on Monday (Dec. 13). As I said in my review, it was filled with booms and pows from pyrotechnics and explosions. But there was one bang received that Usher totally didn’t expect when brought a fan on stage to sing “Trading Places.” Excited, she was eager to get close to the R&B stud. Seemingly living out a dream, she wrapped her legs around him during their hug and then the two slow danced. But things got a little rough after he led her to the couch.
She started off lying on his chest as he sang into her ear and pecked her on the cheek. Then as he prepared to cap off the song–just eight words away from the end–she sprouted up. Attempting to straddle Usher, she whipped her leg up and almost across him. Her heeled shoe caught Usher’s face before it got there, though. Ouch. Gasps filled the Garden. Embarrassed and so very sorry, she immediately apologized. The star took it all in stride. “We play rough in the bed,” he joked. “We kick each other in the face and all kind of good stuff.” They hugged and that was that.
Check out the video below. Things go south around the 9:15 mark.
I’ve seen fans try some bold stuff at shows before but this is by far the most awkward moment I’ve laid eyes on. Can you think of any you’ve seen in the past? What would you have done had you been in that position? Let us know.
