“I’ll be back this SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!” West promised on Sunday, shortly before clarifying this Terminator-esque declaration. Watch the Throne, his collaborative album with Jay-Z, is apparently “COMING IN 2 MONTHS!!!!!!!!!!” Before that happens, his music video for “All of the Lights” will arrive “IN 1 WEEK!!!!!!” Best of all, West touted “MY NEW ALBUM COMING THIS SUMMER.”
This is the first anyone has heard of a new solo album from West. As if Watch the Throne weren’t enough for fans to anticipate, now we have a whole other LP to look forward to.
Who knows what the follow-up to last fall’s masterful My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy might sound like? One hint: “I just threw some bassoon on this muthaf—a,” West added on Twitter a short while later, though it’s unclear which piece of music he was referring to. Here’s hoping his next album involves some sick woodwinds.

Easily his worst album.
That’s why the NY Times and the New Yorker have since retracted their initial reviews. It’s also why the album still hasn’t platinum after two months.
But go EW, keep hyping West.

It did sell a million copies, just took a slow time until January to do it after a strong start its first week. It was against a lot of music competition on the charts.

Charlie Sheen has never personally disrespected me…. while Kanye has.
It’s no surprise… Daft Punk just released a whole new album full of tracks for him to “rap” over.
As much as I love Kanye’s MUSIC, I can’t imagine that this album is seriously coming out this summer (MBDTF was first scheduled to release in June, and look what happened to that). And if it does come out this summer, I honestly can’t see it being as good as MBDTF was due to the limited time frame. I say he should just take his time and just release it late 2011 or better yet, early 2012 so it can truly be up to his high standards of music quality.
I’m as pasty white as they come. Lived amongst the pasty white all my life. I find Kanye a refreshing talent. He’s not the best poet, but honest and relevant. Braggadocious? Yes. It’s rap, you’re supposed to be. Arrogance comes with the music mastermind genius that builds and swells up when you know no one can understand how much creativity you got in your head. I thought what he did to Taylor Swift a breath of fresh air. No one watched that award show, they just Monday Morning quarterback commented on it. Award shows NEED the unpredictable Kanye and others like him. Taylor shouldn’t have gotten then award for best video, the director should’ve. His antics and comments are as entertaining as his music. When everything is pasty white, safe Christian, soccer mom, PG pop and pretty, like the music Taylor Swift puts out, thanks to her Daddy’s checkbook, you can be sure that Kanye’s rebellious middle finger presence is a much needed cog in the gears.

That was an extremely petty comment. I agree with White Honky, Kanye West is an intellectual on a level that flys over the heads of most of the population; now yes he does some outlandish things that are very “ass-holic” (if you will) but HE CAN DO IT, he has talent, sales, money, work ethic and the arrogance to back it up ! Taylor Swift didn’t work her way up to anywhere…and I’ll leave it at that !!
