Image Credit: Chris Weeks/Getty ImagesMetallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax have announced they will play a show together on April 23 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA (which is also the site of the Coachella Festival). The so-called “Big Four” of heavy metal performed a clutch of dates together in Europe last year but the Indio show is being billed as “the only scheduled stop in America this go around” on the official Metallica wesbsite. General admission tickets will cost $99 and go on sale this Friday.
Will you be heading to Indio to witness this meeting of metal muthas? Is it even safe to have the quartet sharing a bill in California, given the state’s troubled tectonic history?
