I am appalled that Chris Brown is included on this cd.

Glad to see everyone make a fuss about Chris Brown when no one seems to mind all the child molesting MJ did. Bring on Billie Jean!!!

I think that they decided to pick the best songs from the A-list producers that got to work and record with these artists right after their seasons and tours ended before moving on to their own recording careers. To make them recall their own successes with these singers one to two years after they performed on live TV. I’m sure it was a dogfight and field day going through some 80-plus singers and some 40 or 50 studio albums on 19 and the RCA family of labels to decide what would get on the 12 song release. I think this is one of the last on the 19/RCA contract before Interscope takes over.

I think they should have made like this.
Each one sing somebody1s else song.. Like Carrie sings “Home” Fantasia ” Before he cheas” Jordin Sparks ” Living like we`re dying”.
I think this would be fun/

Or even make them to record on of their favorite song.

The only good thing is that would be nice to have a cd with all the winner bigest single.. but not all of them won ..so this CD is not a big deal at all

Now had they released all of the 9 coronation songs of the winners in their Idol season finales and packaged it as an album, THAT would have bombed in the sales! Every cliched chorus and theme ripped off from every third Diane Warren sappy ballad. But I liked Fantasia’s I Believe far better than the others. So inspiring and soulful and her gospel-driven voice is so moving in that song. The others, not so much. They’re not as memorable as Fantasia’s song, which I still love and play a lot!

If they are putting out the album to celebrate 10 years of Idol, then I would have preferred they only put songs that were sung on idol, such as Carrie’s “Alone”, from Idol, rather than “Before He Cheats”, which was post-idol.

I agree that J-Hud should have been representing on this album as should the BEST SINGLE TO EVER COME OUT OF AMERICAN IDOL: Kimberley Locke’s “8th World Wonder!” Geesh…And yes, I agree some B-Sides could have been REALLY REALLY good here…
