Who cares? She is so overrated and overexposed!

    No.

As a fan of Gaga I am infinitely disappointed by this single. I simply do not understand how anyone could claim that this song lives up to the hype surrounding it. Prez Hilton claims that the song is “pop with depth.” Lady Gaga must be paying him millions at this point. Depth is not “don’t be a drag just be a queen.” Depth is screaming “CHOLA YOU’RE A SUPERSTAR!”

the blatant artistic infringement aside, Lady GaGa is better than this. Or at least she said she was. I mean this song sets us back at least a decade or two when it comes to racial relations.

This is a very important day in music journalism. Please do not let the clout of GaGa stop you from actually reviewing this single. It is my hope that with enough honest reviews Gaga will return to the drawing board and really give her fans what they deserve.

Umm, is this not almost the exact same melody as an old madonna song. Wonder if she will get sued.

    Sounds like an 80s classic

Seeing Alejandro had such a 90s/Ace of Base feel to it, it doesn’t surprise me that she continued in that direction. Good job Gaga. Let’s hope the sophomore jinx doesn’t hit you….

Wow, I think this song is great. :)

This song is AMAZING! I love Gaga, and this one of her BEST songs! If the album is gonna be like this, it’s gona be #1 soon.

Except for the Asian ones… oh, I’m sorry, the ones from the “orient.” Seriously, GaGa? Seriously? In your big, empowerment, PC song, you really refer to people as Orientals? Rugs are Oriental. People are Asian.

AMAZING!!! Lady Gaga has just given us THE SONG OF THE DECADE!

This song shows exactly why she is no Madonna or even a Britney. As much as people want to make her one. I don’t think anyone who is objectively listening to this song can say its that good. This is coming from someone who likes rap most, but is open to all types of music. Of course her rabid fans will love anything she does. Those that hate her, will hate anything she does. But I think I’m fairly indifferent, and its just not that good.

    • Renaton

Agreed. I don’t hate her, but I don’t love her either.

She had a few great songs with “Poker Face”, “Bad Romance” and “telephone”, but this just feels dated and with not very much of a personality. Even “Firework” is better than this.

She better bring better stuff on this album, or she’ll go from being today’s Madonna to just another artist that fades into background once it’s material fails to match expectations when tomorrow comes.

  • Matthew

    It’s ok… Sounds like a club…or Madonna.

Oh, this song is epic, alright… an epic PIECE OF CRAP. This just confirms what I’ve known all along: that this chick is overrated and nowhere near as good as her fans make her out to be. She doesn’t have an original bone in her body, all she’s good at is ripping off other artists, and nothing more.

Madonna must be cackling with glee right now. This is a big, epic fail. And with all the hype that has been put on this song, there’s no avoiding the backlash that will soon come from this. Can’t wait to hear what that “album of the decade” will sound like, probably a complete turdfest like this song.

    • Aly

Actually they were on good terms before, dunno if they still will be after this…maybe Madonna will just shrug it off as “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”

  • DPM

I love the message the song haves, I just didn’t like the beat. If an acoustic version ever comes out I’m sure I’ll love it:)
