Good thing he didn’t kill anybody, he could’ve been in jail for twice as long.

He did kill somebody! It was back in the ’80’s, he got off pretty easy, you would think he would have learned a lesson.

Anne, his daughter, Skylar, died in the early 90s. He is an alcoholic and has battled with the disease for decades, before and after her death.

There are few hotel/motel choices on the webnastk. Go to Yahoo Travel or Travelocity and search hotels near Gretna, LA 70053 or New Orleans, LA 70114.Another answer mentioned the La Quinta. Holiday Inn also has a property on the webnastk: Holiday Inn ( ORLEANS-WEST BANK100 WEST BANK EXPRESSWAY; GRETNANEW ORLEANS, LA 70053 UNITED STATESHotel Front Desk: 1-504-3662361Hotel Fax: 1-504-3625814 Crime tends to become a topic in questions about New Orleans. A lot of that is because New Orleans City Hall (for their own political purposes) continues to portray crack dealers killing each other during territorial competition as a crime wave . It doesn’t make the murders OK, but you only have to worry about that if you plan to buy or sell illegal drugs while you are here. Use the same common sense you need in every major city in the world and there is little chance you will be a victim of anything except a need to visit the gym: Pay attention to your surroundings. Stay away from anywhere dark deserted. Pay attention to your feelings if anyone or anywhere gives you a bad feeling, leave the area. Don’t leave something like a camera-bag or backpack unattended on a park bench while you wander off to take photos. Etc.Hope you have a good visit!
