Image Credit: CBSIn the past week, we’ve watched Lady Gaga hatch out of a see-through space pod on the Grammys, down shots with Anderson Cooper on a revealing 60 Minutes profile, and release the fastest-selling single in the history of iTunes. But the indefatigable pop star still has plenty of headline fodder left in her. In an interview on Sirius XM’s The Morning Mashup! today, Gaga said that she’s “destined” for the big screen and would like to see either Marisa Tomei or Rosario Dawson play her, according to THR. Michael Jackson continues to earn big more than a year after death, estate slowly digs out of debt
Image Credit: Al Messerschmidt/Getty ImagesMore than eighteen months after he unexpectedly died in his California home, Michael Jackson continues to be a huge draw. And as Reuters reports, the proceeds from sales of his extensive catalog of hit records and memorabilia are helping dig the pop legend out of his much reported nearly $400 million debt.
Jackson has earned $310 million since his June 2009 death according to court papers filed on Feb. 17. And of that, handlers of his estate have contributed $159 million to his debt. There are still several outstanding claims filed in other countries to be dealt with, but estate handlers claim they’ve “made substantial progress in reducing the estate’s debt.”
Radiohead's new album and single released early today: Watch the video for 'Lotus Flower' here
All you had to do, Radiohead fans, was hurry up and wait.
Only days after announcing the imminent arrival of new album The King of Limbs—and three-plus years since their last, 2007′s In Rainbows—England’s indie-rock godheads have returned, releasing Limbs a full day early, along with a video for first single “Lotus Flower.” READ FULL STORY »
Britney Spears' 'Hold It Against Me' video: Watch it here
”Hold It Against Me,” less a music video than an endlessly anticipated, relentlessly blog-ified Video Event, has finally been held.
The verdict? It’s kind of … frantic. And not unlike the commercials for her many fragrances; call this one I Am Curious (Android).
Plus there’s the product placements for her actual fragrances, among other things—including the Gaga “Telephone” redux Plenty of Fish. Also: bullet-cased panties, a voluminous wedding dress turned splatter-paint canvas, and some hooded, twirling ninja dudes with no eyes.
The best part is undoubtedly the battle of Britney vs. Britney, in which our lady Crouching Tiger Hidden Fight Clubs her own self to the death (or narcolepsies? It’s a toss-up). Otherwise, she seems to spend a large portion of the video with the half-distracted air of a person who thinks they may have left the stove on at home.
“You just cannot deny / there’s a spark in between us,” she sings, but the spark feels imposed more by the quick edits and bravura setpieces of director Jonas Akerlund than anything else; her dance moves are scarcely shown, spliced into strobelight-second flashes of small, I’m-trapped-in-an-invisible-box movement. It’s hard not to wonder: Is Britney having any fun?
We’ve analyzed enough, though; watch it below, and tell us what you think:
Blink 182's Travis Barker talks new album, tour: 'It's definitely coming close'
Image Credit: Simone Joyner/Getty ImagesNot only is the long-awaited Blink-182 album almost-kinda-nearly finished, but drummer Travis Barker says the band might actually hit the road for a full tour—not just the short run of overseas dates they announced last November.
“We are talking about taking Kid Cudi out for an amazing tour we may have planned for later this year,” Barker told MTV News. That’s coming on the heels of Barker saying the band’s new album—their first in eight years—will be finished in “June or July.”
“Here’s the thought process for the album,”said Barker, who will also release his solo outing Give the Drummer Some on March 15. “Build 20 songs, pick 12 we love, and then concentrate on those 12 songs until they’re done, and then our album’s finished. And it’s definitely coming close … I think it’s where you would think Blink would be right now if you left off with our last album with us, and you follow each of our careers, and you know what we’ve done [since].”
Either way, June or July is still far enough from now for us to feel like we wouldn’t bet the mortgage on its summertime arrival. But what do you think, Blink fans? Tell us in the comments section, below.

Beyoncé working on new album with Diplo and Sleigh Bells: Good move?
Image Credit: Donna Ward/Retna LtdI guess Sean Garrett wasn’t playing when he told us Beyoncé is working on some jams for her next album last fall.
Along with the batch of party-starters the producer and pop icon were cooking up then, this morning MTV reports that the R&B diva who brought us “Single Ladies” and “Get Me Bodied” is working with the guy that helped M.I.A. with her biggest hit: Diplo.
It’s an odd collaboration, considering Beyoncé usually stays true to a more hip-hop and R&B sound. But it’s also a good sign that she’s branching out and exploring other genres. Another unexpected collab with Sleigh Bells has also been confirmed by NME, though the band has no clue whether or not their song will make the final cut.
