ur my biggset fan
This is seriously awesome! Cant wait!!
Two of the three songs have been on youtube and avaliable online for ages. I would love to hear Victory though as that’s the only song MJ and Mercury did that wasn’t released, I thought there was another one, but perhaps I’m mistaken.
This news has got me ridiculously excited. MJ is my all-time favorite artist, and Queen is in my Top 5. Amazing, can’t wait!
It would be incredibly awesome to hear the original as it was recorded by Michael and Freddie. These artist are my world and I love them dearly and can’t get over loosing them. I listen to the “there’s must be more to life than this”all the time. Brilliant voices and talents together, My heart breaks. L.O.V.E. forever and more.
This is not new news at all (that these collaborations exist). They have been on YouTube for years now. Three songs – State of Shock, There Must Be More To Life Than This, and Victory. That’s it. State of Shock was redone with Mick Jagger because Freddie was on tour and could not meet up with Michael again to totally finish it. Victory was redone with The Jacksons and included on their Victory album in 1984. There Must Be More To Life Than This was re-sung by Freddie alone and included on his solo album Mr. Bad Guy in 1985. The collaborations on There Must Be More To Life… and State of Shock sound great in their raw form. I’ve never heard the Victory collaboration. Freddie and Michel spent just one day in Michael’s Hayvenhurst (home) studio doing these songs. Freddie happened to be in CA and that’s how it came about. Not long after, the two drifted apart. Some say it’s because Michael saw Freddie doing cocaine and disapproved. At any rate, Freddie was frequently asked about these collaborations in interviews, and he did speak about them over the years always just saying that they’d never been totally finished.
victory has never been on YouTube nor has it been heard by the masses at all.
Michael would have liked state of shock to come out I think it’s part of his plan if you take note of the songs that have come out to us in the order that they did then this could be the next clue in the death hoax so yes we need to let the world hear it NOW. love
Neither Michael nor Freddie wanted these tracks to be released. Where’s the respect!?
(I’m a huge fan of both but their vocal styles totally clashed)
Freddie wanted them out according to Roger T. .. but I think he wanted them released while he was alive.. I agree with you on their styles though.. They do clash. But I wonder what worked out harmonies would sound like.. the others were done kinda off the cuff,(which is weird since they were both perfectionists.. Virgos.) Lorraine
WOW, THATS GREAT i know many of those song and they are like the magik of freddie and mj together..
State of Shock has been around for awhile….With Freddie and Michael… but I’ve never heard anything else. Michael’s the one who said they should release “Another one Bites the Dust” as a single. I would LOVE to hear more of them…
I love both Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury.
They were and are the best male singers of their generation.
They are deeply missed by music, fans like me and by the world. There will never be another Freddie Mercury or Michael Jackson.
I heard their duet, Is There More To Life Than This and I can tell you it is a very beautiful song too.
It is sad they left us too soon and it sucks that I was born 4 years after Freddie Mercury died.
RIP Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson
