Chris Brown and publicist part ways

Obviously, trying to make Chris Brown‘s image a positive one around the clock is a tough task.

This morning, publicist Tammy Brook revealed that the job is no longer hers. Brook, whose firm also handles stars like Mike Tyson and Kelly Osborne, has spent the last year gearing up Brown’s new album F.A.M.E.—released Tuesday and expected to top the charts with upwards of 250,000 in sales—and as of this week, has parted was with the star. One might assume Brown’s recent antics at GMA scared off the PR wiz, but in a statement released to TMZ, Brook stresses that her time is simply up contractually and that her goals have been accomplished. She did not quit. Nor was she fired.

“I am an entertainment/music publicist and was hired as a publicist as they often are to work specifically on his music publicity for the term up to the release of Chris Brown’s F.A.M.E. album, which was released on Tuesday March 22 and is entering the Billboard and iTunes charts at No. 1 this week,” she said. “I love and support Chris and it has been an honor to be a part of this album and I look forward to the possibility of working with him again in the future.”

I just can’t forgive that hair.

    • stella

Really, forget what he did — both he and his stylist should be slapped for that hair color. Who goes to a hairdress and says I want a urine yellow shade of blond please?

      • jolk

lots of black men have that shade of hair naturally, fool!

      • Tracy Murray

So yesterday , same with the tattoos .

      • ck

@jolk – I live in Africa and the only black people I see with that hair color naturally are albinos. Are you talking about albinos?

      • Hmmmmmmm………..

@jolk….you’re an idiot for that statement.

      • Leslie

His sensual touch was exciting and sparked a desire that left me uncontrollable in passionate throws of release and ChristianPeopleMatch was amazing

      • Zakry

What does the color of his hair have to do with *anything*?

    • PN

How many black males do you know have that blond hair? Sisqo did in in 1999 and 2000 but I didn’t like it. It looks lame on Chris Brown. Is he trying to look like Brad Pitt or something? That dark hair on his album, he should stick with it.

  • diva

This kid’s hair reminds me of Denis Rodman back in the day. Ugh so not sexy.

    • Tom Brazelton

Every time I see Chris Brown’s hair, I’m reminded of Siquo (and not in a good way).

      • PN

Sisqo sported that hair in 1999 and 2000 but I never liked it. Maybe Chris was trying to bring that look back.

  • Chichi

It looks like ants rummaging through a pot of corn.

  • Tom Brazelton

    Didn’t quit, wasn’t fired.

    Now THAT’s good PR!

    • Di

Isn’t that what Charlie “Winning, Duh” Sheen’s publicist said too…lol…like mice leaving a sinking ship….

    • diannakay

I think when Charlie (Winning, Duh!) Sheen’s publicist quit being his publicist, he said kind of the same thing…they are wisely like rats leaving a sinking ship…lol

      • BG 17

Somehow I imagine Sheen’s and Brown’s respective former publicists having a drink together in some bar playing the “who had the tougher gig” game…

  • justink

    he’s a tool

  • Jack Lean II

Hey Chris Clown…way to shoot yourself in the foot!

  • Steve J

All your monies belongs to us.

  • Nitro

Ahhh.. His hair not so bad to me. I mean I won’t do it to mines but, I think that soon the kids will be copying it lol!!!!

    • Will

Why would you want to copy someone like Chris Brown? (L)

  • tasha

I love him his hair look good leave him alone people

    • tasha

People wish they was him that boy can dance I wish I could meet him one day with

      • Aunt Sassy

        So you could get beat?

      • Troy

        Don’t beat yourself over it…

      • Hasbeen Aniston

Tasha, this will be a shock to someone of your ilk, but RESPONSIBLE, INTELLIGENT people do NOT want to “be him.” We prefer to go to college and become doctors, lawyers, engineers nad respected members of society, rather than aspiring to be dancing MONKEYS with inbred violence.

  • couplewords

Would you wanna work with a violent psycho — never knowing if he’ll kill you? The guy’s a walking Russian Roulette!

    • BG 17

      …but only if you’re a woman…

      • Alfredo

        …or a window…

    • MT

I guess they read some comments around here or listened to some people in the media. Her departure was must needed. First step, checked.
SideNote: I will never understand how people can hate and care about someone at the same time. Chris Brown may need counseling but so do some of you. Seriously.

  • nathan

just another loser who’s actions would not be tolerated if he wasnt a celebrity. Good thing he can dance, he sure dont know how to treat women or act in public. FAIL!

  • Brett.A

Too bad his brain can’t walk away.

  • Caryn

    shocking…

  • Chase

Chris has got to understand that because he is black male and famous he is held to a higher standard than others.

    • Hasbeen Aniston

A “HIGHER STANDARD?” You are too ignorant for words. Insisting that he NOT BEAT UP WOMEN OR THROWN CHAIRS THROUGH WINDOWS ,CAUSING GLASS TO ENDANGER INNOCENT PEDESTRIANS is NOT holding him to a “higher standard.” In NON-GHETTO communities, it is called being a rational, NON-CRIMINAL ADULT.

  • bj

Chris Brown hair is UGLY, he is not all that and should be arrested for what is another case of abusive actions showing he has major anger issues. Another case
of an untalented “star” thinking he
    is above the law
Boycott Chris Brown – DO NOT BUY HIS MUSIC !!
