Late hip-hop crooner Nate Dogg was laid to rest Saturday in his Long Beach, California hometown. MTV reports that thousands of fans and family members attended the funeral service at Long Beach Cruise Terminal. Among them were music peers Dr. Dre, Game, DJ Quik, Mack-10, WC, DJ Pooh, and fellow 213 group members Snoop Dogg and Warren G.
Snoop recalled how their friendship began 25 years ago. “1986, Poly High School, that’s where we connected for the first time,” Snoop said. “We didn’t know each other, but the music connected us. We built a brotherhood.”
“It hurts me so much to see this,” Warren G said during the service. “We been through a whole lot and that was my dog. He stayed down with me from the bottom to the top. I didn’t ever think I would have to sit at a funeral for one of my dogs. All I can say is that was my friend, me him and Snoop was 213 from the balls to the walls. The music industry lost an incredible artist.”

I commend them for remembering the late Nate Dogg at his funeral. And that Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Dr. Dre and other fellow music friends took the time to remember him. He was a great singer that collaborated well with countless rap and R&B artists in his career. His solo album was that good and he should have sold more of it. Nate was a true brother to Snoop as well as a longtime friend and a fellow music singer featured on his albums.
i was proud to get to know nate dogg on a personal level ,,,, he was the ” life of the party” that always put his family and friends 1st,,,, dre ,,, snoop,,, warren ,,, and wron G will be lost with out him the ” dogg pound will never be the same” ….. love yea my freind will miss you !!!!! god just recived his 1st member to teach him some hip hop!!!!

I heard “Regulate” on the radio yesterday–hadn’t heard it in a while. Nate really had some smooth vocals on that song. I wasn’t too familiar with his other material, but I’m sure it was good too.
The first time I ever heard Nate Dogg that blew my mind cause he was rappen and singing at the same time Nate Dogg changed the game he’s a big lost to Hip Hop but most of all he’s a big lost to his family and friends in the words of the G.O.A.T Tupac Shakur “Pour outta lil liquor” for the big homie Nate Dogg
it is sad day and it is sad that the only way to reunite them all like back in the days was threw a friends death maybe nate wanted the originals in detox and not the garbage rappers that dre is going to put on there rip nate

nate dogg was a wonderful artist my heart goes out to his mother first,his family, and to snoop dogg and warren g because 213 was more than a group of friends who made good music they were brothers/family and snoop&warren g lost a family member and a frien,may continue to be a shield of protection over his family,friends,and fans.god bless R.I.P NATEDOGG
