Britney Spears’ announcement while performing this morning on ABC’s Good Morning America that she would be touring this summer with Enrique Iglesias seems to have been a bit premature: Iglesias’ reps just released a statement saying that the pair will not be hitting the road together. “Despite initial reports based on formal discussions of the possible run, Enrique will continue on his solo tour in support of his new album Euphoria,” his reps said. “Enrique has great respect for Britney and is a longtime fan of her work. He is very sorry for the confusion this might have caused to anyone.” Britney had originally revealed the news as a “special announcement” from backstage at the morning show, stating that she’d join Iglesias on tour starting in June.

Big mistake on his part, he obviously didn’t want to play second fiddle. While he is a star, he would have been able to reach a larger audience with Britney
I agree completely, he would have sold out way more shows if he toured with Britney.
If I were actually planning on going to her concert, I’d be happy about this. I can’t think of a more obnoxious song from the past year than Enrique’s “I Like It.” Can’t stand him.
Good, Britney and Enrique would be a weird mix. Brit needs someone like Rihanna to open or co-headline the tour. Rihanna can’t sell out a full concert so I’m thinking that would be a good mix instead of Enrique
i think it was smart of him. and if the “discussions” werent finalized, why jump the gun on the announcement?? britany is still highly overrated lipsyncher in concert, and people are crazy to pay hundreds of dollars to see her stumble around live(she cant dance like she used to). and for the cheap seats to cost $96 BEFORE fees tacked on by scalpmaster, oh sorry, ticketmaster. thats nutters.
I was disappointed to hear he was the opener…I can’t think of any enrique song that I like let alone enough to pay to hear. Now that she is the sole headliner maybe they’ll adjust the prices to be more reasonable. I know the tix are gonna be expensive but $96 plus fees for the nosebleeds are a slap in the face to those of us that always supported her.
No way would I pay that much to see Zombie Britney lip sync and barely dance.

Enrique is international, his tours sell out, he really sings and has gotten positive reviews about his concert.
Britney well she lips sync, she cant dance anymore, she cannot sellout in other countries and her current concert is being bashed.

Well I’m glad I love Enrique and already saw him in concert so no need to see him again! I attended the Circus Tour in 2008 it was great can’t wait to buy tickets for the new Britney tour!!!

I wasn’t surprised. Even though I’m not a huge Enrique fan, I think it was a smart idea. As his song has said, I Like It!! Enrique is too good to stoop so low to tour with a Lip-Syncer like Britney Spears.
